6 Aggressive batsmen

*” Six Big Hitters In Red Ball Cricket History – A Jealous Point “

◆ ◆● Amazing fact that despite hitting natured their figures are decent ● ◆◆

The most explosive batsmen :
{ ***1990 to 2020 ***}
Yeah have a look–

Sanat Jaysurya

Chris Gayle
3.Virender Sehwag
4.Adam Gilchrist
5.Tilakratne Dilshan

David Warner.
Yeah , these are the big, big hitter of the Red ball during 1991 to June, 2020. Among these 5 have retired and one is in the action i.e. David Warner . Aggression and hitting the ball brutally has remained their religion throughout the career. And yes whatever the format Test , ODI or T20 , for them all were remained the same . And amazing in the conservative format or in the heavyweight format -Test cricket their strike rate and all figures are stunning. The fact ravels the layers by asking , ” Were they talented in real or destined or the bowlers were weaker against them and the captains too with the team ?”
Their batting figures are also good and envious compare to the other great batsmen who took 50 balls and made only 10 runs. The traditional fans applaud it but untraditional curse it because they like aggression and hitting. They prefer only runs how are that come don’t care. Test cricket isn’t easy if you know a bitter fact in the reference of Virat Kohli. Yeah, once Virat Kohli faced off 47 deliveries but couldn’t open out his account so sometimes the batting is so difficult that the batsman like Virat Kohali could open out his account in a Test innings only after facing 47 balls. So the Test cricket has its different kind of heighr. It is the episode against England in England . So it can be understood how tougher to bat there as a batsman in the Test arena. And in the Test match as a batsman you can not hit with the 1st delivery but these hitters did it and remained successful. And by aggression you can’t be the horse of a long race but these batsmen were. If you observe out the fact in case of Saiyad Mushtaq Ali who was the 1st aggressive opening batsman from india of the Test cricket whose career gone shortened due to unwanting aggression . He often played attacking strokes and threw out his precious wicket in a cheaper way.
If you get successful in hitting the ball and that goes for a four or six yeah fans enjoy and and accolade but get out then those fans curse you. But these six batsmen were lucky in this sense and all ones’ career remained lengthy and successful as the batsman. All these six batsmen are considered as the typhoon and tycoon of the aggressive batting arena. Four batsmen out of the six batsmen accredited to have triple hundreds on their names. And out of four two have two triple centuries on their part .
Triple centurions are called the Elites of the Giant World and in these four two have two triple hundreds on their worthy name. Yes they are C Gayle and V Sehwag both have 2-2 triples on their name. S Jaysurya and David Warner has one each . A Gilchrist has one double hundred 204 and T Dilshan has no double hundred on his name but he remained just 27runs short to his double ton.
Amazing about these batters that one batsman ( C Gayle ) was a specialist opener but since the start adopted nonconservative styled and othe was unspecialist opener ( V Sehwag ) who was a lower order batsman in real but both have two triples on their name and S Jaysurya he was too not a specialist batsman but struck out one triple and D Warner who is the specialist opener who has one triple on his name. Batting nature of these batsmen was destructive , shattering and exploitative and if say simply then the hitting and hitting bluntly and blindly .Yes whether the ball was in their reach or not they used to swing their bat and gained runs and runs with melody or harshness no matter for them. They are the reckless batsmen rather than the bold because they used to hit the ball from the 1st ball and if they were on 96 ,196 ,296 they didn’t care and hit out six . So they were high risk taker batsmen. And proven the proverb God help those people who help themselves . It means God helps bold and reckless people . To play the stroke with extra power and demon spirit was their nature.. Overall we can say them the hefty and hectic customer of the ball hitting.
They used to believe on powerful stroke making and they remained swashbuckling hitter ever. Among these six batters the batting average of V Sehwag is highest. Though D Warner is so nearer to V Sehwag and he is in the action so possibly could overtake V Sehwag in average in future before retirement . Average point of view V Sehwag rests at the top then comes D Warner and then A Gilchrist , C Gayle , T Dilshan and lastly lasts S Jaysurya. Here is the question that these kinds of batsmen whose religion was hitting and hitting without merit but remained so successful , why ? They were faulty in technique and these batsmen made not one , double but triple hundred and not one but 2 triples by two ones in their career and two made one triple each. One 204 and one 173.
How can it possible that this kinds of batsmen reached out 300 plus runs’ mark and all the teams with their bowlers and captain remained just the poor watchers. C Gayle made one triple against South Africa and the 2nd against Shri Lanka. V Sehwag made one against S Africa and other against Pakistan. S Jayasuriya made only one against India , D Warner against Pakistan. Against them there were reputed bowlers like S Pollock , M Natini, J Kalis, D Styne, M Morkel , Zahir Khan,Anil Kumble ,S Akhtar, Saqlen Mustaq , Shabbir Mohammad, M Muralidharan, C Vaas like bowlers . But they all have been crushed by the butcheres mercilessly. And no doubt their scores remained so gigantic that put some great batsmen in the questionnaire.
If we talk about total individual hundreds then V Sehwag hit out 23 , C Gayle 16 , S Jaysurya 14, T Dilshan 16 , D Warner 24 , A Gilcrist 17.
These six were technically not sound or perfect batsmen if measure on cricket grammar’s scale . Or can say all were non-text book hitter so there would be hope on each and every ball to make them out but amazing that they piled up score and score against quality bowling attack and owned a jealous figures of single , double and triple centuries on their name.

Here is a point of big jealousy to these destructive batsmen that they have triple centuries on their name while Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting ,Rahuln Dravid like batsmen have no this kind of great credit. And A Gilchrist and T Dilshan have not accredited triple on their name but one has a double century 204 and 17 century ( A Gilchrist )and other ( T Dilshan ) has 173 highest individual score and 16 centuries on his name .

So in my lamentation TRIPLE HUNDRED is the prior or major point to have discussion.There have been many great batsmen in each era and since the dawn 1877 to so far up to June, 2020 [ 143 year’s history ] only 31 triple centuries have made and if talk about individual
double centuries ( 200 and more )
then theirs tally rests 378 . Yeah look the figures that who have made this ( double century ) feat—
Wowwwwww!!!!!!

12 double hundreds have been made by Don Bredman

By K Sankara 11

by B Lara 9

4 . Yes 7 double century each by the 3 batsmen

By 6 batsmen 6 each , tally rests 36 doubles

By 3 batsmen 5 each tally exists 15

By 9 batsmen 4 each tally rests 36 doubles

By 13 batsmen 3 each tally rests 39 doubles

By 44 batsmen 2 each double century each , tally rests 88

And by 111 batsmen one (1 each ) each and total rests 111 double centuries.

Thus total rests 378 as the double centuries ( From 1877 to June ,2020 ) made by 194 batsmen.
In Test cricket single century is also considered a rare feat, double hundred is a rarer feat and the Triple hundred the rarest feat.
And the four hundred ( 400 individual score ) the heavenly task it means beyond thinking. In history of the game ( 143 years) only one quadruple century has been achieved and that is by BC Lara alone.

Many Single centuries have been slammed by the batsmen in the Test matches.
And if talk about their number then it might be over 3000.
Here the point is to mind that there is no Triple Hundreds made against these bowlers.

H Larwood- B Vose duo no triple ( But yes in
single presence of H Larwood with other partners by Don Bradman made 334 ) F Trumen- A Bedser duo ( no triple) R Lindwal- J Miller ; Lillee- Thompson, B Willis -M Hendricks, J Snow -J Price ( No Triple but yes against J Price with other partner bowlers yes the batsman was B Cowper) and in the presence of J Arnold -C Ood- Bob Willis ( trio) by L Rowe ) and R Hadlee-I Chattfield , I Bothom-B Willis , Imran-Sarfaraz, M Holding- M Marshell , M Holding – A Roberts, C Walsh- C Ambrose, W Akram-W Yunus duos no triple is enjoyed by the rival batters . And trio’s presence of M Holding- M Marsell – I Bishop ; D Lilee-J Thompson- L Pasco no triple came ; And fearsome four or quadruple pace attack of A Roberts-M Holding -G Garner, C Croft yeah no triple century came. Yes on some occasion when there was single leading or prominent bower without good supporting bowler of his class yes triple has been gained by the batsman.

The whole bowling attacks have mentioned here against whom the triples came and in them there are only two bowlers who are high rated according to the ICC norms . The ICC has rated highest by given 850 plus points but according to me the criteria is different to have prior reasons. Yeah for the bestest of bests 2000 points { The bowler who creates out two easiest chances to make batsman out in just 5 overs and 1500 point { The bowler who creates out two easiest chances in just 10 overs } and 1000 point { The bowler who creates one easiest and one easier chance in 10 overs } 850 point ( the bowler who creates out two possible chances in 10 overs ) 750 points ( the bowler who creates out two rare chances in 10 overs)
But okay I talk to have the ICC rated bowlers who are remark as good, better ,best.
Generally the batsman has paid respect to the 850 rated bowler and he has targeted the ordinary bowlers mostly.
And if we observe out closely then this fact is occurred out in the mirror. The batsman always targets the ordinary bowler and most of the triples have scored targeting poorer bowlers . And the leading bowlers ( 850 plus points rated high class)) are respected by the batsmen all the time. But The pairs or duos that I have given were so solid in attack and no batsman could have touched the triple ton against them.
If the bowler is 850 plus then the batsman plays all very carefully against the 850 plus rated bowlers so the big bowlers often couldn’t get wicket of the tougher batsman though theirs economy is good ever there. Such as the big bowlers ofen make the prey of the poor batsmen easily.
But the things happen to be tougher to score against 850 plus rated bowler so the batsman tries to score against 400 rated bowler so the batsman gets more runs against him but loses out or gift out too his wicket to that cheaper bowler after getting good score. Sometimes the good batsman doesn’t lose out his wicket against the good bowler because he is so careful against him but against the average bowler he feels in easier zone and tries to score runs and in that spirit he gets careless and the wicket is often awarded to that poor bowler. Sometimes the batsman makes wrong shot selection and loses out his temperament and rhythm and gifts out his wicket to that non or less effective bowler because he can’t bat freely against the quality bowlers and seeks out opportunity against timid bowlers.

Yeah before 1993 ( 120 years ) only few triple centuries ( only 12) came in the Test cricket . In them yeah only
D Bradman made two triples and rest 10 batsmen acquired one each on their name. Yes they are A Sandhem, W Hammond, L Hutton, J Adritch, L Rowe Hanif Mohammad, B Cowper ,G Sobers , Bob Simpson, G Gooch . It means out of 31 only 12 triples came before 1993. But after 1993 yes 19 triple tons have come . Yes during this period ( 27 years only ) who struck out the triples are BC Lara , C Gayle and V Sehwag who slammed 2 each.
And by the rest ones made single ones on their names. . Yes they are –
4..Mark Taylor ,
5.S Jaysurya,

Inzmam ul Haq
7.Azhar Ali,
8..M Yunus Khan ,
9.M Jaywardhane,
10.K Sangkara
11., M Hayden ,
12.Hashim Amla ,
13.M Clarke
14..B McCallum,
15.K Nayar ,

D Warner
3×2= 6
13×1=13
~~~
Total 19+ 12=31 Triples overall
And 194 batsmen who have touched 200 runs’ mark ( double century) individually as following–
Don Bradman (12)
K Sanghkara (11)
3 B Lara (9)
W Hammond, M
Jaywardhane, V Kohli ( 7 each )
V Kohli is in action and at his pick might go ahead.
Ricky Ponting , S Tendulakar, V Sehwag, M Atapattu ,Yunus Khan, Javed Miandad ( 6 each)
Rahul Dravid, Gream Smith, A Cook ( 5 each )
7.Zahir Abbas , Sunil Gavaskar , L Hutton,
, B MecCullum , Mohammad Yousuf , M Clarke, Hashim Amla, G Grinidge ( 4 each )
B Simpson, C Pujara
M Rahim, Azhar Ali, J Root, S Smith , G Kirsten , L Tylor , K Peterson , C Gayle ,J Langer, S Jaydurya , Viv Richards , S Flamming ( 3 each )
*C Pujara, J Root , S Smith are in action and could go further ).
And rest ones 2 and one each. The 44 batsmen slammed double century and total number rests 88 and 111 batsmen made one each so number rests 111
Thus 194 double centuries have come in its way in the Test arena and highest 12 and at least 3 double centuries getters are given here . 44 batsmen have 2 double centuries and 111 batsmen have got 1 each and thus total rests of double centuries is 378. And behind these double centuries 194 batsmen have remained the bearer.
Whom against the double hundreds have been made is a point of great query and I would discuss it later in another episode.
I have attended triple knocks here and so centric point of my discussion is triple ton only so I do floor the discourse only about the triples.
Yeah if the figures of triples are checked then it is cleared that the bowlers whom the batsmen have faced off were ordinary in bowling class and if someones had the class alas they couldn’t have proven their class particularly in that match against those dominated Triplions. Despite high rated 850 plus like S Akhtar, D Steyn , M Morkel , S Pollock , M Muralidharan like great bowlers alas couldn’t stop those batsmen who crossed envious 300 mark in their worthy presence. And the point is to be noted here that some of them were not a great or specialist batsmen if mind the classism of Test cricket . The batsmen started the career as a bowler and promoted as a pinch hitter and the opportunity worked in their part and luck too and they scored in a big manner successfully and stunned the orthodox fans.
After 1993 if we talk about great bowlers then from Australia–
Glen McGrath, J Gylepsi , Bret Lee , M Johnson,.P Rifiel, , D Flamming , S McGill, S Warne . , M Starck, P Commins, Peterson, P Seedle, N Lyon, P Harris. And no triple century is made by any batsman against these bowlers. It reveals the fact that how formidable the bowling of Australia have had during this and that span. But yes in the worthy presence of G MecGrath , G Gilepsy ,Shane Warne India’s VVS Laxman unbelievably reached up to 281 and that is a big history of indian Test history and worst for Australia though at this score G McGrath dismissed VVS Laxman. But we are discussing on the triple ton only so Australian bowlers are out of the discussion.
Now we glimpse out the bowling attack of each Test nation during this period .
From New Zealand –
D Martin and one century came in his presence.
From England-
Caddick, S Hermison , A Flintoff, C Broad , J Anderson ,Hoggard . And 4 Triples have slammed against them.
From South Africa-
S Pollock, J Kallis , M Natini, M Morkel, D Steyn.
Yes 3 triples are made against them.
From the West Indies –
ST Gabriel, M Cummins, J Holder, KC Braithwait,D Bishoo, NL Chase
*It means no high reputed bowlers from the West Indies though only 1 triple came.
From Pakistan- S Akhtar, Shabbir Mohammad, M Sami , Saqlen Mustaq, Mustaq Ahmad ,Shahin Afridi against them 3 triples came.
*It means only one high class bowler Shabbir Mohammad whose bowling average is under 25 though he played few Tests.
From Shri Lanka-
M Muralidharan, C Vaas,
Fernando, A Mendis ,
*Only one high reputed bowler that is M Muralidharan against him 2 triples came.
From India–
V Prasad, Zahir Khan, Anil Kumble. Against this attack 3 triple came.
No high ranked bowler
From Bangladesh —
Mustfizur
Shakib ulnHasan Mohammadullah and 1 triple came against this attack .
From Zimbabwe —
Heath Streak, left were ordinary and against it 1 triple came.
From Afganistan–
no big name yet because got Test status earlier and no triple has come against the team.
Now by obserbing the statistics of triple centuries ( 1993 to 2020 ) that have come against the nations, yes from–
England 4
S Africa 3
India 3
Pakistan 3
S Lanka 2
W Indies 1
New Zeeland 1
Zimbabwe 1
Bangladesh 1
*In these 19 triple hundreds no triple came against Australia.
Against England four triples are enjoyed by the batsmen . In it out of four 3 came against ordinary class bowlers and one against top class bowlers as S Harmison and A Flintoff but couldn’t bowl as per their reputation or couln’t prove their class.
Against South Africa 3 triples have made and two high reputed bowlers were present there as Shane Pollock and Dale Styen.
Against these bowlers 3 batsmen V Sehwag C Gayle , M Jaywardhne scored triple and there were Two high rated bowler against them.
Against Pakistan 3 batsmen hit out triple tons and there were 3 high reputed bowler presented as Shabbir Mohammad ,Shoyab Akhtar and Mohammad Sami but their individual bowling average is above 25 so can’t be said high rated.
Against the West Indies only one triple knock came and there was no high rank bowler there.
Against New Zeeland only one triple came but no bowler was there as high ranked.
Against Zimbabwe one triple was scored but no dazzling bowler there.
Against Bangladesh one triple century came and no illustrious bowler there.
So it is cleared that against the timid bowling or juicy bowling attacks the runs are plundered . And in high facilitated conditions these triples are made where the batting is remained easier than 1991.
As per my close study of all the 31 triple hundreds whom against that scored were made during 1877 to 1990 overall mirror in two phases that is 1877 ton1990 & 1991 to 2020 as the following .
The triple century feat was made against , the bowlers are–
A Sandhem 325 vs West Indies
Bowling attack ( GC Griffith , Da Costa,
G Gladstone, OC Scott
FR Martin
( Note : It is not Charlie Griffith it was GC Griffith of decade 1930 who was average bowler )
D Bradman 334 vs England
6.Hanif Mohammad 337 vs West Indies
Bowling Attack –
Bill Gilchrist , ES Atkinson,
OG Smith, A Valentine,
DG Atkinson, G Soberse
7.G Soberse 365* vs Pakistan
Bowling Attack–
Fazal Mohmood, Mahmood Hussain,
Kardar
Bob Simpson 311vs England
Bowling Attack–
B Cowper 307 vs England
Bowling Attack –
J Price , FE Rumsey , T Cartwright, FJ Titmus ,J Mortimore , ER Dexter
11.L Rowe 302 vs England
Bowling Attack –
Bob Willis , G Arnold , C Old , AW Graig , Pocock
G Gooch 333 vs India
Bowling Attack-
Kapil Dev, Sanjiv Sharma , Manoj Prabhakar, R Shastri , N Hirwani
[ Note: Since1877 to 1993 only 12 triple hundreds came. In it 5 against England – D Bradman 2 ; Bob Simpson 1 ; Bob Cowper 1 ; L Rowe 1 ;
1 against Australia that is by L Hutton ;
2 against West Indies 1by A Sandhem, 1 by Hanif Mohammad ;
2 against New Zealand 1 by W Hammond ; 1 by J Adritch ;
1 against india that is by G Gooch ;
Against Pakistan 1 that is by G Sobers
Thus highest centuries 5 came against team England during 1877 to 1990 or 1993.
Yes 1877 to 1993 Twelve triple hundreds came in the Test cricket and in these 12 triples 2 triples hundred innings have played by World cricket’s emperor Don Bradman.
And the bowling attacks the batsmen faced off during that period in which if we talk about big and reputed bowlers then
H Larwood , Bil Gilchrist, Varity, O’Reilly, Arnold , C Old, J Price ,B Willis are the ranked bowlers. In them H Larwood ,Bill Gilchrist and Bob Willis are big speedsters . And if we talk about triple hundred then against Larwood Don Bradman has slammed triple. But need to know Don is all time greatest batsman and the combat or face off between Don and H Larwood is a prosperous history. No doubt avoiding average more than 25 , in real H Larwood was not easy to face. Only few batsmen could have show the class against him.
When Hanif Mohammad hit out his triple ton against the West Indies only one was high class bowler there as one of the most fiery and ferocious pacers of the Test cricket Bill Gilchrist and Hanif Mohammed’ s Triple innings came against him as an opener so must be saluted because Bill Gilchrist was there and a genuine striking fastest opening bowlers of history like H Larwood and had known for his terrific and fatal pace but his average is over 25. But against the genuine pace many a time nooks or snicks or outer corners take place in a blind way so ball easily goes for four so the bowler’s economy affects. So sometimes average can be overlook.
Yeah these are the 19 triple tons that came during 1994 to June, 2020. And if we see the bowling attacks particularly and individually then against whom these innings have been played then no one can be rated 2000 point. Yeah who is 2000 rated bowler ? Yeah if you as a bowler creates out one out chance for the batsman under your 5 overs spell for the batsman you are A+ grade bowler and if you create 2nd chance in 10 overs ‘ spell you create out the 2nd chance, you are A ++ grade bowler. But if you create out two easy chances in 10 overs you are A 5 plus or star ( A+++++ ) grade bowler. If you create out 2 possible nearer chances in 10 overs you are A + plus grade bowler. And if you create out two difficult chance in 10 overs spell you are A grade bowler. Yeah , Shoyab Akhtar who created two chances for the fielder to make out Virender Sehwag when he played a triple knock there in Multan , S Akhter created two chances for Sehwag to make out before reaching 50 runs but the fielders couldn’t convert that chances into the catch. But that both chances were not easiest but possibly approachable or convertible . Yeah you can say them easy but not easier and the easiest so S Akhtar rests at A grade not A1, A-2, A -3 , A5 plus bowler. Yes if the bowler who creates three easiest chances in 10 overs’ spell has been graded A 5 plus +5 star bowler and the bowler from another planet. Yes if your making chance is endorsed out then okay but if not endorses out then the bowler isn’t responsible or blame figure. In his part he has done his great job or has made him out. Yeah in caught and bold chance he the bowler himself responsible and can’t be cursed out anybody except destiny.
So if we conclude the weightage of the triple centuries then the 10 highest rank Triple tons are rest as the following-
1.Don Bradman 302 vs England
Leading bowler-
H Varity, WE Bowes
L Hutton 364 vs Australia
Bowling Attack –
SG Barnes, WJ O’Reilly
Don Bradman 334 vs England
Bowling Attack-
H Larwood, Tette
G Greary, W Hammond
4..L Rowe 302 vs England
Leading Bowler-
B Willis, C Old , J Arnold , T Greag
Hanif Mohammed 337 vs West Indies
Bowling Attack-
Bill Gilchrist, ES Atkinson
D G Etkinson , OG Smith , G Sobers, A Valentine
G Sobers 365 vs Pakistan
Bowling Attack –
Nazar Mohammed
Khan Mohammad, A Kardar
7.M.Jaywardhene 374 vs S Africa
D Steyn, M Ntini, A Nel , AJ Hall, N Boje
8.M Taylor 334 vs Pakistan
Bowling Attack –
Shoyab Akhtar , Mohammed Zahid , Mushtaq Ahmad, Azhar Mahmood, A Sohel
V Sehwag 319 vs S Africa
Bowling Attack-
D Styen , M Morkel , M Natini, J Kallis
B Lara 400*
vs England
Bowling Attack —
S Harmison, M Hoggard , A Flintoff ,SP Jones, GJ Batty
Yes these are the 10 bestest Test Triples innings according to my estimation.
(In the evaluated 10 best ranks the whole observance has reviewed as per my best of past and present with the prior scale)
Here it is liable to know why I overlooked S Sehwag’ s 309 against Pakistan and C Gayle’s 333 against S Africa.. Yes V Sehwag’s swashbuckling innings there at Multan against Pakistan was not chanceless and C Gayle 333 against South Africa too was not guiltiless and was played on his home soil. And when Test innings is measured then the critic must have wholesome looks under textual criteria. And these innings didn’t hear melodious music or can say lack of classic music so couldn’t place in my slat. And both the innings were played on the dead wicket so couldn’t have got place in the best 10 triple tons.
Thus ten best Test innings are ranked by me . Triple Hundreds and oppositions’ bowling atracks if we observe out the average and economic figures of the bowlers then only the few bowlers who have finished their career under 25.00 average. Yes they are-
H Varity, SG Barnes , WE
Bowes ,
Shabbir Mohammad , M
Muralidharan, Dale Styen,
WJ O’Reilly. Nazar Mohammed , Khan Mohammad,
But here I reduce the class of the bowlers by cutting points against whom the triple tons came . Dale Styen , SG Barnes,WJ O’Reilly, WE Bowes, H Varity,
M Muralidharan, Shabbir Mohammad whose averages are under 25 but in their specific presence triple Tons came while they bowled there more than 30 overs. So they are fully faulty and responsible for that huge score. And I ask where was their greatness as the bowler. They couldn’t make the batsman out in more than 30 overs …..ah pity on them and their greatness. And the point is worth to attend that D Steyn who is considered one of all time great bowlers whose wicket talking ability and thrifty economy is admirable and solid but alas two triples have come in his worthy presence. I ask where was your class Mr Styen. Yeah Don Bradman and L Hutton’s height is great in the batting world so the bowlers against whom the triple came are excusable because against these batting gods those bowlers were dwarf. But as a class bowler you can’t poor defensive batsmen ah shitttttttt….
Yes, these are the top class bowlers to have the great figures. But yes there are some great names as the bowling giants whose average is above 25. Yes Herald Larwood, Bill Gilchrist
Shoyab Akhtar ( all are in all time great fast bowlers).Morney Mockel too was good ones though due have over 25 bowling average not evaluated as the great bowlers though they were terrific and in real they left their great imprints in the bowling arena but alas couldn’t stop to make triple . So it should be considered a black stain or bloat in their career journey .
Yes against Shoyab Akhtar , D Styen two triple and one triple against Shane Pollock enjoyed by the batsmen and trios are the high rated bowlers according to the ICC criteria and their average is good too but only D Styen’s average is under 25 and M. Holding like bowling legend showered the praise on D Styen. But alas 2 triples came in his presence a painful and unbearable point and conservative fans like me dislike it . So his rate is gone minus 300 and the ICC has rated him 850 plus but I do reduce 400 points from 850 so his points rest 450 and rests as an average bowler in my mirror in that particular matches.
Though these trio bowlers’ economy rate was not expensive but the taking wicket is a big concern as a bowler in the Test match with thrifty economy so you need to take wickets not restraint the runs only. So in my critic review your greatness is in jeopardy. And point to be minded here that two or three worst performances put you at the bottom because the critics have prior reasons behind it and you must nod this fact. And yes against you the textual class batsman likes of Sachin,Rahul ,Gavaskar, Vishwanath, M Amarnath , Zahir Abbas, Jawed Miandad , David Gower , Viv Richards, R Kanhai, A Kalicharan, D Lloyad, J Boycott, D Amiss, G Grinidge , G Chappal, Ian Chappal, D Walters, N Harvey, G Turner, G Hadlee, A Border, K Hunt, A Wicks, C Walcott, F Warrell, D Jardin, V Trumper ,C Hill, Woodfull and they made triple then no one can point out you because they are all time great master batsmen of the Test cricket but yes the batsmen who were against you were not classic. And those whom I have described as the master batsmen were the batsman who used to respect if the delivery would be unplayable or stingy or good.
Yeah cricket is a game in which the cricketer as a bowler, fielder , batsman has the particular day and on that day somebody wins and somebody loses. In this concern there are some bitter examples related to the greats like Arjuna who was a great archer but lost the war in Kandhar but rarely this stain is minded by the people. Nepoliyan was a great warrior but he got defeat against Nelson but people respect his victories and bravery. So D Styen, Shane Pollock , Bob Willis , Bill Gilchrist, Shoyab Akhtar are the great characters of the bowling arena ever and have respected by the fans and critics. And such as V Sehwag , C Gayle, A Gilchrist are the great figures of batting arena ever who scripted history through their aggressive batting. They made these bowlers toy because of their unique talent and can’t be blame them all to have technique but yes the bowlers who are great then they had to dismiss them because they were hitter and there were lot of chances because one batsman needs only one ball to send out the pavilion but you didn’t keep your accuracy and stringiness and remained failure .But its okay it’s a micro study and all kinds of fans like this kind of dialectic debate. So with pardon and salute….
