This website has been built to help fulfil a long-cherished motto — of writing, and of sharing a literary world with its readers.
NK Sevak, who writes under the literary name “Sanatan” or “Sanaatan” — his takhallus, or literary pen name — has been writing as a versatile poet and writer since 1990, with his own rhythm, passion and spirit.
His literary journey is long, diverse and thrilling, yet it carries a sweet and sincere approach towards life and the world. Since he has been writing for such a long period, he possesses a vast anthology of precious thoughts, themes and experiences.
As a versatile writer and poet, he has written on almost every aspect of the worldly, spiritual and cosmic universe. He has even given distinctive names to his literary genres:
- His Poems are called TelemarkAAAA कविता / Poem
- His Prose pieces are known as MessazAAAA गद्य / Prose
Yes, it is indeed an amazing and unique baptism of his literary style!
Ralph Waldo Emerson is one of his literary ideals. Perhaps that is why his style is sometimes raw and scattered, yet it moves with waves, rhythm and a distinctive flow.
He is also a great admirer of Sir Francis Bacon, one of the greatest essayists of the English language. Bacon famously wrote:
“Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.” – Sir Francis Bacon
In a similar spirit, Mr. Sanaatan's writings are worth reading with patience and attention. His pieces often carry a particular blend of depth, humour, imagination and hidden meaning.
