At First Class Low Class But At Test Class High Class !
If See The First Class Statistics ….Isn’t deserved the Selection But…Wow !
{On Bryan Valentine A Test Cricketer From Britain Post Golden Era }
Test Cap Number 272 from the England Cricket Field yes Bryan Valentine who represented the politically heavy burning period yes ‘Inter- War Years 1919 -1939’ . I have attended this cricketer due to his big batting average in the Test Arena . Though he played only 7 Test Matches during 1933 to 1939 against India and South Africa . He played in a timeless Test there in South Africa and disgusting that the match had to finished due to catch the steamer which was scheduled to leave for England and at that time there was no travel option to go oversea and abroad . And the sources were limited of abroad journey . I do attend this unsung cricket figure because of prior reason. Yes if observe the First Class statistics of mr Bryen Valentine which is the main base to select at the international level . But alas the statistics of Mr
Bryen Valentine are thinner in the FC. Yes 399 FC matches 18306 First Class Run
30.15 Batting Average 35/90 Hundred/Half-hundred
242 Highest Individual Score . Obviously the statistics of the FC are leaner and below the average . 30 15 yes a meagre batting average despite played huge 399 FC matches . Yeah in 399 matches he scored 18306 run and slammed 35 hundreds and 90 half centuries . 242 run remained his highest individual score in the First Class Format. But reverse to it in the Test Match his statistics are so handsome though he played only 7 Tests so not attended highly by the cricket world . But his statistics are higher and must have to attend by the sports specialists.
If see his Test Matches’ figures then he played only 7 Tests,made 454 run by keeping
64.85 batting average by hitting 2 hundreds and 1 half hundred . Yes 136 run remained his highest individual score in sn innings . Yes by seeing Bryan’s FC data first of all he didn’t deserve the selection at the international level.And no selectors or selector can dare to select at the highest level for the nation service . But what were the compulsions remained for the English National Selectors’ Panel only those know. But at the international level Bryan Valentine stunned by his performance though played only 7 Test .
Yeah if the selectors would see or prefer the FC performance and overlook him for the selection at the highest level then a talent wouldn’t be occured . Yes he played only 7 Test and so unsung hero because the media, experts ,
commentators ,
siniors and cricket fraternity didn’t focus due to the short career. But i found this great figure under my fondness and passion for Cricket and as a writer of my kind i extracted this Cricket character who remained in in the cricket action only for 6 years and then the 2nd World War broke up and the career of this and many cricketers ruined and india’s Vijay Merchant was one of them whose real height we can see in the figures in the FC format which is the 2nd after Don Bradman the dominant God ever of the Test Heaven . Yeah there are many cricketers whose FC records remained very rich and on this base they were selected for the international level to present their nations but alas they couldn’t prove their super class that they had shown in the FC. Yeah David Hooks, Greame Hick,Chris Talware,Badrinath ,Hemant Badani,Ajay Sharma,Wasim Jafer are the cricketers of that cadre whose statistics are very rich but alas at the international level the remained average and below the average and very poor . Yes ultimately i do say the selectors should also watch the class and sometimes excluding the testimonial must be preferred the class that the world or such field and fans would not miss this kind of cricketer ( Bryen Valentine ) and his action.
