Concussion In Cricket !
*New Opener Of Australia Bad History
Today I have known about WJ Pocovski yeah a new opener from Australia. Veteran Aussie cricketer and expert of the game declared the probable Aussie Eleven for the beginning home series of Australia against guest India. Mr Mark Waugh has doubted Burn’s selection in the final Eleven because of his poor performance in previous Test matches. W J Pocovski who has two double centuries in the high combating and reputed domestic tourney Sheffield Shield and hot favourite for the selectors. Australia is the country and its selectors are known for great selection in prior time. I mean they give chance to the players when he is at the pick and they pick at the big slat that the players can prove yes his selection is right. If the player is not selected despite high performance then he gets nervous and his performance and career affected . See the great selection of SR Tendulkar who was just 16 but he was selected but not by the selectors but by great perspective man the then and the BCCI boss Raj Singh Dungarpur. They selection committee revealed the doubt by saying that it is bit early and to select at this age is risky and he must be tested more and needed to get bit mature. It is the hastiness and the result would be adverse and for it might be we would be mocked. But Mr Raj Singh remained adamant and the sectors had to inclined and later what happened we know the glittering history . The selectors didn’t select similar quality talented the school mate V Kamble at the same time and delay was made by the selection committee and Vinod Kimble’s career affected despite good beginning because of pressure.
I am talking about W J Poscovski who has been given chances due to high rated performance in FC but couldn’t endorse out opportunity at the LA level and his figures are poor .
What I mainly do point out that WJ Poscovski is an opener but tactically his batting style seems poorer because he has been struck badly by the bouncers at the head and retired . He had to suffer mentally. He got concoction injury and it is not good for the batsman who is a specialist batsman . To be hurt at the head is a baddest indication for the opener . Yeah his goodness that got survive otherwise his career might be ruined . He got head injury two time and under it one on Sean Abot whose fatal bouncer not ruined the career but sent out the talented and promising batsman Philip Hughes to heaven before the time. Whose mistake in that tragedy ? Yeah, though Abot repented a lot for that incident but cricket fraternity consoled him that he wasn’t responsible for that accident. If we observe the reality the batsman tachnic and misfortune were responsible for it.
So what i conclude is that due to T20 and F50 fornats the batsmen are not prefering the fundamental technique and go for the runs by playing wrong technical prone shots. My cry is that the specialists batsmen must be sounder in technique .
And concussion ( head injury ) is fatal and shows his weakness in technique. Steve Smith is the biggest Test batsman in present but suffered concussion why because he wasn’t special batsman . He started his career as the spin bowler but later he moulded as the batsman. His record is phenomenal but the figures do not describe the reality always.
