{ My Reaction On Rubbish Idea Of The Four Day Test Match in Cricket }
Yes , here in the cricket world there was only one playing format since 1972. And only the heavyweight format as the Test Match was in the existence but by accident suddenly the idea flashed out in the mind of organizers there in Australia when a Test match was under question due to heavy rain and the match was abandoned . The organizers convinced both the captains to play a 60-60 overs match in a day. Thus the instant cricket format came into light and it lured out the rare people for whom the time was important and they couldn’t await the result for five days. The ICC indorsed out the opportunity and organized the 1sr ODI World Cup in 1975 in England. And the idea worked and liked by all except some conventional fans. Because due to limited overs the technique and extra kind of pressures affected the real game and combat .
And then it became an inevitable part of cricket and preferred too greater than the Test. And many ODIs series have been under ICC schedule for each Test playing nations. Then the big tragedy came for the Test when the T20 format was implemented by the ICC. Thus there are three formats in the game of cricket. We can categorize them as heavy weight , banti weight and laughter weight.
Now a days or couple of the months the voice is raised to make Test match of 4 days. Shit i condemn this rubbish idea. The Test match format is real cricket and the cricketers are tested there only with that height where the real or conservative fans want to see them. If we use the Hindi word — TAMAASHA CRICKET yes this word justifies with ODI and T20 . Tamasha means a dramatic shallow entertainment…Or bollywood fantasy movie in which the hero fights with 20 people all alone and beats them brutally. Yes despite 20 bullets piercing into body doesn’t die…Jump from 20 storey building and not injure a bit… Just like it F50 and T20 are acrobatic format where batsmen favourable prone rules are enforced. And even the big bowlers are made toy by the tailenders or non specialist batsman. I have seen that Bret Lee like great fast bowler is hitted to sixes by Harbhajan in the slog overs. Such as Dilshan hits five fours in an over against fiery M Johnson.
Through this cry I want to say refute idea of 4 day Test and also ruin out F50 and T20 format. Why …… Because Test match has all power to entertain. Yes without power play many batsmen have hit out four five ,six sixes in an over. Yes four fours, five fours six fours in an over despite not field restriction. And many batsmen have shown aggression in the Test and have slammed hundred before lunch and in a day triple and double hundred so no need any restrictions prone format or formats. The real don of cricket Don Bradman, Viv Richards never needed field restrictions. But the question is how the Test format can replace or fulfill the drama of F50 and T20. And the Test match can be of only one day or two days. How ? Yes , if the curators are allowed to prepare bowlers prone or friendly pitches and if there is 90 yards boundary all around, no bouncers limit, also beamers would be legal , no helmet and have 5 stumps and no LBW , and padding is legally catchable …..Then assure you no need of T20 and F50 or T10 . Why because only 40 deliveries need to make batsmen out 40 wickets. Yes in a Test match 40 wickets need to make the game over and for clean result . In this way high technique ,stamina,
energy ,passion,spirit can be seen in this real drama rather than these two fake or shallow format T20 and F50.
