If This Attack So Called Solid At That Stage Had To Prove !

So Called Best Bowling Attack ….Where Did It Go…At the Required Time ?

Yeah it’s said and claimed that in present India’s bowling attack yes particularly to have speedsters is solid and formidable. Yeah spearhead Jasprit Bumrah (in present number 9th ICC Rank ) , Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraz, Shardul Thakur and world’s number one spinner Ravichandran Ashwin . Yes in both the innings the host remained upper hand . In the first inning India team bundled out only on 202 and South Africa made 229 and got meagre lead of 27 run but in the 2nd innings the guest India played well and made 266 thus reducing lead of 27 run they put 240 runs’ target to the host to win which was not easy to get for the poor batting line up of Proteas in the 4th inning . Yeah in the 2nd innings indian batsmen’s resistance was well and particularly off form batters C Pujara-A Rahane batted well at the crucial stage and the team’s condition was in a good position but alas indian wicketkeeper batsman got so much hasty , overconfident ,over enthusiast and impatient and played an over ambitious stroke against reputed and ICC number 2 ranked K Rabada and gifted his precious wicket on without score or on the duck. If R Pant should show the prudence by understanding the situation then india could set rather big target for the host and that would pressurize the host batters and the result wouldn’t be remained one sided . But to defense 240 it was the real test of the so called solid India’s bowling attack . The record was in the favour of the guest because S Africa couldn’t get 220 plus run there in the 4th innings .
But this time the host broken the jinx and availed the target very comfortably. Indian so called strength bowling line up could get only three wickets of the host is a miserable patch.
Yeah ridiculous observation and blame on KL Rahul for this defeat who didn’t change in bowling timely. And it remained the main cause of the loss. But the question is it really the reason and truer fact ? If there would Virat Kohli be the captain were India won . Alas it’s demoralised and discourageous remark and is rested KL Rahul the responsible for this loss. KL Rahul set the defensive fielding and didn’t alter bowling properly or timely that opened out the door of win for the host. Is this observation is just a oral count not the true if observe the fact closely . Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami are the chief and experienced bowlers of the team and they delivered 17 overs each it means the captain trusted on them fully and unluckily one one wicket came in favour of M Shami while J Bumrah remained wicketless. Shardul who was effective in the 1st innings trusted by the captain and bowled away 16 overs and could get only one dismissal. India’s leading spinner R Ashwin bowled 11.4 overs so economically by conceded only 26 runs claiming one wicket. So think where was mr Captain wrong ?
Yeah there was Mohammad Suraj who been used in less number and delivered only 6 overs but in these 6 overs he remained so expensive because plundered 37 runs and need to mind the fact that india was protecting just 240 runs and it was so risky to keep Siraj on the attack. So it’s wrong to say that KL Rahul didn’t change bowling and trusted on his leading bowlers . The media person writes that KL Rahul did not
seem a natural leader and also seemed feded and doomed . Obviously he isn’t the main captain and suddenly due to Virat’s unfitness condition enforced out the captaincy only in the second test after being the deputy or the vice captain. Yes Bumrah and Shami perplexed batsmen particularly captain Dean Algar who was the real obstacle for India’s way played boldly despite struck the balls on his hand and the shoulder and finally he rode off his team to a great win. And for his heroic inning of 96 n.o. adjudged main of the match award. He was determined for his team’s win not for his century so till the end he didn’t get tampty and not played any risky shot and tried to play aggressively for his individual hundred .
