Left Handed Batting Maestros Of Test Cricket Arena That Proven Very Right !
● Left Handed Batting Greats Of The Test Cricket Arena ●
Test cricket is the main and real testing fundamental and conventional format of cricket. In real it can be said heavyweight format where are the restrictions but very less yeah if talk about the bouncers or leg side fielding set up. Test cricket has given many right handed greats as well as the left handed batting greats since 1877 to 2021. Here I attend the legendary figures of the left handed batsmen of Test Cricket World . Yeah Claim Hill is the first left handed batsman of the Test arena who buzzed a lot in his time for his excellent batting style and performance . After him Arthur Morris drew great attention as the lefty. He is considered as one of the big openers . He was the member of Don Bradman’s famous invincible squad . After him Australia produced a great lefty yeah as Bill Lawry and Neil Harvey . Then Alan Border who left great imprints as the left handed batsman . Yeah Graham Yellop and Grahem Wood too were at the same time or contemporary to Alan Border who were too good left handed batters . Then Mathew Hayden emerged as one of the greatest left handed batsmen who had been buzzed a lot for his great batting talent . Yeah contemporary to M Hayden Justin Langer was also a great graceful left handed batting maestro who left his emphatic recognization as the left legend. And during that Michael Beven, Adam Gilchrist, Michael Hussey drew attention as the big left handed batsmen. But can’t be inducted them though respecting highly as the gentleman in the list of greats. Though the statistics of M Hussey are very impressive that he ended his Test career to have 51 plus batting average and deserves greatness because there are very less number that the batsmen have finished their career with fifty plus. Then David Warner who enlisted in the great left hander batsmen and is the present great left handed batsman of 2K11. Yeah David Warner has very prosperous figures that compelled critics to be considered as one of the greats. Yeah from India Vinu Mankar, Ajit Wadekar registered their presence but to have statistics as the batsman
their performance is an average class but in 90s the name of Vinod Kamble drew big attention as the big left handed batsman because he was the classmate and contemporary to Sachin the great and equally talented . Yeah Vinod Kambli started well but couldn’t become the horse of the long race like his friend Sachin and he played only 17 Tests , though his figures and average echoed and in present so far his average is rested highest from India. But despite played 23 Test he can’t be put in the list of greatest left handed like G Pollock who played only 23 Test but in his short career he proven and inducted in the list of greatest left handers but due to apartheid his sparkling career suffered not due to form but due to material calamity . Yeah then entered Sourabh Ganguly who became the horse of a long race and impressed cricket fraternity due to his solid batting. From Pakistan Sadiq Mohammad ,Saeed Anwar and Amir Sohel as the lefty and Saeed Anwar who was contemporary to Sachin the great and was a big rival of Sachin but retired soon despite big form and big name but his figures are good and very much in the race of greats to have ifs and buts .
From Shri Lanka Sanat Jaysurya has left remarkable figures as the left handed batsman . Then Kumar Sangkara left phenomenal statistics and the grace as the lefty and one of the greatest batsmen of left handed arena is always the most favourable name to put in the list of the left handed greats . From New Zealand Stephen Flamming ,Brendon McCullum ,Tom Lathom are good left handed batsmen but can’t be put them in the list of the greatest .
Yeah from S Africa Grahem Pollock is considered one of the greatest left handed batsmen and later G Kirsten renowned as the good lefty batsman. From the West Indies Gary Sobers is an unequalled figure and by the critics he is considered as the greatest left handed batsman of the Test Cricket World .Later Clive Lloyd emerged as the distinguished , dashing and reliable batsman who played the pivotal role for his team and earned a big name as the left handed batting maestro. Alvin Kalicharan contemporary to C Lloyd also registered his name as the masterful left handed batsman. And then a lode star as Brian Lara blazed in the horizon of the West Indies Cricket who broken many records and enriched with many unreachable records I mean not easy to surpass his some awesome figures . BC Lara is considered as one of the biggest and greatest left handed batting maestros of all time who is under great rivalry to the greatest of the left handed batting world yeah none other than G Soberse and Grahem Pollock. Roy Fredrick and Alvin Kalicharan also have great height as the left handed batsmen and R Fredrick’s 168 wow echoed very high in the cricket sphere . Chris Gayle also earned name as the buzzing left handed batter because of his two triple tons . From Zimbabwe Andy Flower is a famous left handed batsman and his statistics are phenomenal as the greatest stylist ones . From Bangladesh there is no left hand batting wizard who can be come in the list of great ones. Now the father of Cricket yeah England from where Frank Woolley , David Gower , Alister Cook, Graham Bell, M Tresthovik, G Thorpe are one of the elegant left handed batting masters . But D Gower and A Cook left their precious marks as the peerless batsmen.
Yeah after this great mentioning what I want to discuss and conclude . Yeah who is the all time greatest left handed batsman of the world test cricket and why. And who are the ten all time greatest left handed batsmen of the Test Cricket Arena and why. And to have left handed batter who played the greatest innings or which is the greatest innings and why. And if list out of ten greatest Test innings from the left handed batsmen then which are those innings .

●Yeah the left handed wizards played many great individual Test innings and by the critics the certain innings have discussed and put in the meritorious list. Yeah which Test innings are the greatest to have class, grace opponent, situation, land ,fans ,pressure ,bowling quality and fielding , strategic cadre and height of the captain.
1.Roy Fredricks
168 against Australia on the Perth against terrific bowling attack of the era yes as Dennis Lillee- Jeof Thompson duo and Muscular Man Max Walker yeah the all time great giants of the speedy arena.
On that day Roy Fredricks played one of the most scintillating Test innings that cracked and torn out the bowling attack of the Aussies . And in my sense and critic this innings is ranked at the number one and the greatest . It was the pitch the fastest ,bouncy and lethal and haven of the speedsters where the batting as the opener wasn’t easy and was full of challenges . But Roy Fredricks showed recklessness and shattered the attack of Aussies .
2.BC Lara’s 153 vs Australia . Yeah there was big rival,big attack,hostile circumstances
3.G Soberse’ splendid 365 vs Pakistan yeah against quality bowling attack which was spearheaded under Fazal Mahmood the great seamer of Pakistan.
4.G Pollock’s 271 vs Australia .Yeah Don Bradman the greatest accoladed this innings and its class by saying he hasn’t seen such a great innings ever before it.
5.Graham Pollock 137 vs Australia . Yeah that was an epic innings that has been applauded by Wisden as one of the greatest innings . Innings was played against hostile condition and G Pollock showed his elegance and compactness .
6.C Lloyd’s 242 vs India when india had an impressive spin attack as the trio of BS Bedi,BS Chandrashekhar,
Erapalli Prasanna and left handed medium pacer Karsen Ghavri and Ekanath Solkar. C Llyod shattered the indian bowling attack .
7.David Gower’s 154 n.o. vs West Indies in West Indies then there were four fearsome giant speedsters in the West Indies squad . Bat against that attack was very challenging but David Gower showed great class and courage against that electrified bowling attack.
8.A Cook’s 294
Vs India
9.Alvin Kalicharan’s 187 vs India yeah to bat on the indian sheer spin friendly wickets wasn’t easy at that time but against great trio of spin magicians of BS Bedi, Chandrashekhar,
Venkat Raghawan and two impressive medium pacers as Kapil the great and Karsen Ghawari the left arm legend Alvin Kalicharan played a great knock .
10.C Gayle’s 317 vs S Africa yeah was good quality attack spearheaded by Shane Pollock ,Makhaya Ntini , Zedevik though the pitch was negative or the batting friendly .
*The Tough rivalry between these three greats –
There are many stands to have one name as the lone greatest
Who is the loneliest great in Gary Soberse, Graham Pollock and Brian Lara ,the trio ? Some critics, veteran greats, sports journalists, statisticians, commentators ,fans and cricket fraternity of its kind yeah Gary Soberse has been stamped as the greatest left handed batsman of all time. But I considered him as the biggest all-rounder and so in the genuine batsman concerned G Pollock is the greatest according to my measure and evaluation. And G Soberse started his career as the bottom down batsman in real a bowler . But with the time he got promotion and proved his ability to bat well. After 18 Tests he made his test century that ended in triple then he remained unstoppable and got great reputation as the batsman
At once he had held the highest run getter 8032 record on his rich name in 93 Tests with 26 Test centuries and 30 half centuries and the highest 365 not out individual Test score. Yeah if compare Graham Pollock’s statistics to Sir Garry Soberse than G Pollock isn’t stay far than G Soberse. Yeah in 23 Tests G Pollock slammed 7 centuries and 11 fifties . If he would play 93 Tests like G Soberse then G Pollock’s Test centuries ‘ tally might be rested almost equal to G Soberse. Yeah Brian Lara rests the third because average point of view he isn’t nearer to these greats. So ultimately I favour mr Graham Pollock because his average is higher than G Soberse the greatest but to honour equally I greatly and to blow any disputing air I rank both the legendary batting maestros at the first with the same percentage 75 yeah distinction marks exactly .
