[* Clem Hill And Victor Trumper The Contemporary Greats From The Same Team,Same Nation *]

Yes Clem Hill and Victor Trumper are the bigger name in the Australian Cricket and also in the World Of Cricket yeah represented their nation in so called the Classic or Golden Era of cricket. Clem Hill started his Test career by wearing the green baggy cap on 22 June,1896 and ended on 23 February, 1912. And Hill’s domestic phase remained during 1892-93 to 1922-23 .

Clem Hill was the predecessor to Victor Trumper and honoured to be worn number 74th Green Cap .

Yeah Victor Trumper worn out the green baggy as the 79th Test cricketer and started his Test career against arch rival England on June 1,1896 and said goodbye vurses England on March 1 , 1912 and his domestic cricket career ran from 1894-95 to 1913-14.

Yeah both the pioneer greats acquired great praise of the cricket fraternity during their heydaying period due to their unique class batting feat. Yes that was the batting challenging era because of the conditions , uncovered wicket, punny bat ,poor pads ,hands gloves ,abdomen or protective gears and mostly unavailability of helmet .

Yes why do I attended these two gentlemen of the game ,yes ,because the common present generation isn’t familiar with these names. Some great critics have stamped Victor Trumper as the greatest batsman of Australian who mesmerized the fans and fraternity of his time by his great technical batting style and run making ability with class and craze. Yes the batting stats of both the pivotal are not rich compare to some other greats and the present greats like B Lara ,Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangkara, J Kallis, K Williamson,V Kohli,S Smith ,Joe Root. Both peers have played 48 and 49 Tests respectively and their batting average is 39.04 and 39.22 and can be said the moderate batting average. But the point to be minded that up to 1925 these two averages are highest the then since 1877 and to know this fact can understand how were rich these averages of both the batting maestros at that time.To have batting that era was the toughest and if observed the bowling figures of most of the bowlers then would find so thrifty and handsome and even an ordinary bowler was dangerous and it was enough to deliver the ball that would have worked critically and was difficult to face.So we can’t measure lowly and underrate and underestimate these two greats of the game. Before these two the highest batting average remained 35 that is credited to Arthur Shrewsbury, Bobby Abel and Andrew Stoddars who played less than 25 Test. Warwick Armstrong who played 45 Test as an allrounder who finished his batting career with 38.69

Yeah if see all the Test batter then Ranjit Singh and Stanley Jackson occured 44 plus average yeah 44.95 and 48.79 but both played only 15 and 20 Tests. So to have longevity the then yeah 48 and 49 Tests in their part in their 13 and 6 months 15 and 8 months’ cricket career. As we often say that the stats do not always speak truly and to evaluate the real value the critics have to peep out so deeply. Sometimes you are destined to face a modest bowling attack, ordinary fielders, unstrategic captain and batting favorable batting conditions and you score splendidly. See Virat Kohli who was thirsting for a big score and didn’t succeed before the tough bowling attack holding teams but earlier at the tour of West Indies he remained able to score a century and improved his stats. And in an interview to Gary Soberse the greatest says in question to him about Virat Kohli and the possibility to break or overcome Sachin Tendulkar the great in term of international hundreds then the stalwarts says it would be depend on the teams and their bowling standard and if the conditions and destiny would favour him . It’s all we say and G Soberse said because Kohli’s heydays are left behind and he is of age 35 plus and the age is the big factors that affects all naturally and no one can avoid from it.

So as the essence I conclude that putting the stats,RSR,Batting Average, single Century ,double ,teiple hundred do not matter in these two particular batting gods of their time and unanimously can be put in the rank of the greatest batsmen.

Yeah I didn’t see them like you because it’s the history before 121 years and my year of birth is 1964 but read the worthy legends through text written by the then sports writers. Indeed the text that is available in the cricket history books in their reference thrills and gives great pleasure. I salute these two legends whose feat in the text fascinates us.
