Once South Africa was in a great position to win the match against England in the Benson and Hedges world cup in Australia in 1992. It was just needed 22 run in just 13 diliveries but suddenly rain poured just for 12 minutes and then the target been revised and South Africa had to get 21 run in only one delivery. Then the on striking end Brion Meccmillan came formally with his partner and just tapped the ball. Thus the D/L rule affected and snatched the certain victory from the jaw of South Africa.So the rule is absolute faulty, ridiculous and hatred.
Why does the wisdom world follow such a defective law ?The man has reached up to the moon and disclosed the mystery of the mars. And alas ! We do follow such a faulty regulation. Has ICI not thought so far about this great deficiency and disputed law ? Are there no wise thinkers in the world then Duckworth and Luis?
Many a times this rule has not justified with the deserving team. Despite not play fully a team has to get sufferred and could share point with rival. In this way a poor opponent gets equal point with the mighty contestant due to rain. And this punishes the innocent team and has to oust the mightier team and poor rival makes place in semis and finals.It’s tragic and miserable. It’s faulty and extremely condemnable. This rule is a black stain on the game cricket. In the previous champion trophy and world cup poor team like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe made place in the semis its mocking.
This faulty rule has to amend for the fair play. In my worthy sense it must be revised by the ICC if it wants the real chastity or serenity . Why do we accept such a faulty rule in this neo era where the exploitation of wisdom outpoured all around.There are thinking , micro thinking and nano thinking in the digital devicing world so it’s thinkable point why the cricket fraternity gets suffering to have this faulty law. In this sense i do suggest that match must be played fully on the reserved day. In the neo techno world ah ICC follows olden device that the men draw or drag poorly the covers when strikes , it’s shabby ans shameful. At one sided you claim to be neo- robot man and age and other side you adopt quite poor and odd way to protect ground from the rain. For it there would be the automatic covers that will floor all around the ground with the slight rain and no tinge of ground be drenched or wet. It can be roller covers system that be connected with electo string and controlled by remote device. We have reached moon and also overcome mars then its a petty device if science fraternity thinks and devotes. Or put pillars around the stadium and there would be auto shroud over the stadium covering system that cover whole stadium in minutes that spectators too will not have used umbrellas an extra bulk.
