●Yeah are few batsmen whose statistics have remained excellent but alas their career remained very short and under the minimum 1000 runs’ criteria they couldn’t have been enlisted in the Elite Average Rank. In 10 Test he made 859 Run having 47.72 yeah a handsome batting average. *Berry Richards is an another Test cricket giant whose batting average is handsome in the FC and considered a big batsman but alas due to apartheid policy his nation was banned by the ICC so couldn’t play maximum Test and named only 4 Test in which his batting average is handsome yeah 72.57. *Rusi Modi ,Yeah an unsung batting maestro from India whose batting performance and statistics are handsome and in the practical this figures can’t reveal his class. Yes he was a good batsman who could play only 10 Test,scored 736 run and his batting average remained 46.00 exactly. Yeah his FC statistics are bigger played 105 matches scored 7529 runs, average 53.02 and slammed 20 hundred and 39 half hundred . 245 n.o. was his highest individual score. *Note : I have enlisted all the Test Cricket Batsmen with their Batting Average . Yeah under my criteria I have inducted those cricketers who have played whether less Tests but scored minimum 1000 Test run . Almost 3000 Cricketers have played Test Cricket so far since 1877 to till date (December 2021) and in them if estimate then 2000 have started their career as the specialist batsman and to have mind the batting average to finish the long career by maintaining 60 plus is the rarest and 50 plus is rarer and 40 plus is rare . Yeah so far only 6 batsmen could have finished their career with 60 plus so it’s rarest deed. In these 6 rarest 60 plus batting average holders batsmen are Graham Pollock and Adam Voges career spanned very shortened. Yeah Graham Pollock of S Africa could play only 23 Test but due to huge performance registered his name in the history of game Cricket. Yeah for his paramount batting average that was rested at the second highest after unequalled mr Don Bradman. And Adam Voges who surmounted G Pollock and attracted the big attention of the cricket fraternity. But alas he was selected very late in the national squad and got the chance to play at the international level at the age of 37 but at that age he stunned the cricket world and gave repentance to the selectors of his nation in the selection concerned . Yes due to older age he declared retirement with remarkable feat. Among these 6 Sixty plus average getters 2 are in the action .They are Steve Smith and Marcus Labuchagne and both are the Aussies . Yeah Steve Smith has played 80 Test Matches and still maintaining 60 plus (60.84 exactly at the written this Praise-Groan note) batting average and for it he is saluted by the cricket world. It is very interesting to see Would he be finished his worthy career with this worthy (60 plus) batting average. Yeah a new sensation M Labhchahne was replaced on Steve Smith when S Smith was hit on a fatal bouncer of England’s Jofra Archer and under new rule- “Concussion” M Labhchahne batted on the place of Steve Smith and the world cricket got a worthy batsman who was benched but S Smith’s bad luck became the good luck for M Labhchahne. Yeah rest of 2 are considered one of the greatest all time big batsman yeah they are George Headley of West Indies (famously entitled the Black Bradman due to his great performance*)and Herbert Sutcliffe from England . Sachin Tendulkar kept his batting average high when he was at his high pick but after 150 Test his batting average gone down fallen and at the finish his batting average remained 53.78. The longevity of the career affected his batting average which is the major point to measure the greatness of the cricketer. Yeah India’s mr aggressive Virat Kohli too had high batting average but for two years it is descended due to lean performance. Yeah above 55 to under 60 batting average there are only 11 batsmen do it reveals that 55 plus batting average isn’t also easy task . And among them Eddie Paynter ( played 20 Test, made1540 runs,kept 59.23 batting average) and GE Tyldesley ‘s career (14 Test ,990 Runs, 55 batting average) remained shorter or played lesser Test matches . But rest of 9 batsmen’s career remained longer and played 44 plus Test at least. Ken Barrington 79 Tests ,Wally Hammond 85 Tests ,Len Hutton 82 Tests , Soberse 93 Tests (57.78) Clive Walcott 44, Everton Weeks 48 Tests , Kumar Sangkara 134 Tests, Jacques Kallis 166 Tests . Now the rare batting average holders (above 50 batting average to under 55 batting average) are 25 batsmen only . Yeah among these 25 batsmen Charlie Davis (15 Test 1301 run, 54.20 batting average); Jack Ryder (20 Test 1394 run 51.62 batting average); Vinod Kamble (17 Test 1084 run 54.20 batting average) played less Test. But except these three batsmen the career of the rested batsmen of this category the career has remained longer. Yeah these greats played at least 63 Tests during their career. Yes AD Nourse played only 34 Test .Thus 21 batsmen’s career remained longer and they accomplished 50 plus batting average. Thus if we count 50 plus batting average holder batsmen then overall the telly rests 6+ 11 +25 =42 only. ◆Above 48 batting average and under 50 {48 to 50} batting average yes only 17 Test cricketers could have extracted the 48 to 50 batting average so it’s number is also lesser .One of the most buzzing, echoing and talking captain Douglas Jardin is the last batsman of this mark yeah who finished his career with exactly 48 batting average. Mahila Jaywardhne’s batting average is 49.79 so no batsman has finished on 50 batting average exactly. Above 45 batting average but under 48 batting average holder batsmen are 35 only . And comparatively the number of this rank is higher than the above highest discussed average and credited batsmen.
