I am a big lover of the game cricket and due have passion I have chosen the maximum superb elevens from each Test Playing country and have an idea to make contest as the Test World cup to have an imaginary game-Batting ,Bowling ,
Fielding and Captaincy. Yes here to have my close look and under it the class,quality , technique , temperament, would be tested to point out ifs and buts. Here I mention the name of modern greatsof 2k and 2k10. Yes Chris Gayal and V Sehwag. These two opening batsmen are known as one of the most destructive opening batsmen and feared the speedsters as well as the spinners of their era. They timid out Dale Styne ,Morney Mockel, M Natini, V Philendar , J Gilespy,Shoyab Akhtar,etc. We know that these two flamboyants have two triple hundred on their name and it is amazing that despite the lonev hitters and tactically weaker and their defence always remained in jeopardy and their inconsistency is all open and always remained untrusted and unpredictable.
As a critic I do ask to the cricket fraternity if V Sehwag and C Gayle face out the bowlers like F Trumen ,Bill Voce, F Tyson, A Bedsar , Lohmann, Verity, Hall, Griffith,A Davidson , R Lindwal ,K Miller, Tom Richardson, Spoforth, R Hadlee , D Lillee,J Thompson, L Pasco , M Holding, A Roberts, G Garner, C Craft, M Marshall ,Imran Khan ,Wasim Akram ,A Donald and Waquar Yunus with same merit. Could they make triple against these monsters ? These are the bowlers who need not live pitches. Could they face their ferocious as well as accurate bouncers with helmet ? No …. according to me for those batsmen to cross 20 runs would difficult.Would they stay out against the so called great strategic skippers like F Warell, D Jardin ,D Bradmen,T Greig ,M Brieyarly ,Imran Khan ,etc. Yes who were able to utilize their bowlers’ efficacy and approach to have high professionalism. Dale Styne-M Morkell duo a great pair or partners and have big economy rate and fine average such as Shoyab Akhtar but sorry in my sense they were the ordinary bowlers why .. Because despite bowled out more than 50 overs in the Test where you can set field as per the wish or plan but ah couldn’t get out player like V Sehwag. It was particular day for Sehwag ah this kind of clause or phrase not suit for the bowlers who have high cadre. In that match the captain was just a watcher and poor fellow and a depressed and deserted leader who couldn’t use his high class bowling attack by setting a effective field. Yes 25…..50 enough but 100…….150……175….200…..250….300 ah undigested……..For the fan who understands the game.
{ The Championship format would be the Round Robin and timeless contest, I mean no limit of days…Match would be run up to the clear result and under both eras primary and secondary ( 1877 to 1990 & 1991 to 2020.) rules ….. Uncovered pitches …No limit of bouncers, fielding ,etc.
◆There are 9 Test playing Nations ….I do not have comprised Bangladesh and not elected any a eleven why because it hasn’t such a big Test class players except few …Or one …Two…So it was not possible to choose 11 players of International class. Such as I have excluded Afghanistan to have such reason. From
England Test side 695 players have worn out Test cap but ah I could make only 18 super elevens. It means only 198 class players England could produce. Other side Australia have borne out maximum class players so it was inevitable to leave them so I had to make 25 super Elevens. It means tally goes up 275 Test players out of 695 players. Yeah due to some great players for making complete Eleven I must have to comprise some average or ordinary cricketers. But it is the chance if any player couldn’t prove its quality to have luck or circumstances or any reason can prove your greatness. In some cases I haven’t preferred data or figures…….Why because it doesn’t real story. Sachin hasn’t any triple on his name while Sehwag has two triple on his name . Measured or evaluated the best 100 Test innings Sachin’s any Test innings is placed by the ICC while Wasim Raza ,Kim Huge and VVS Laxman ‘s innings were in it while they are dwarf in comparison…But due to certain criteria no hundred is included in Super 100. In this respect Sunny Gavaskar ‘s 221 at Oval isn’t considered under best 10 due to match result draw while VVS Laxman’s 281 is measured under best five greatest innings while that innings was played under non- pressure and in home condition while Sunny’s 221 was under pressure in abroad. If talk about bowling attack then England was better . Due to follow on the bowlers were not fresh and due to humidity bowler like Mecgrath and J Gilespy not effective. And S Warne in india like a club spinner.
●The base to select for the national team to represent at the international stage is priorly the domestic tournament and many players’ domestic level record or performance has remained awesome but they couldn’t justify it at the international level. But it is sure they had great talent. In this concern if observes out the record of John Dyson or Hooks whose domestic performance remained ample but at the highest level remained timid or meagre and this fact has accepted by John Dyson very guinely in his autobiography. In this aspect if indian batting maestro GR Wishwnath’s figures are observed then he has only 14 hundreds on his name and his batting average is below 42. IN this way he is lesser than Mohd Azharuddin and VVS Laxman…. but the world of cricket knows his class and his greatness has been embellished by his contemporaries, veterons ,seniors ,criticis,experts and commentators. And if guinely inspect out it is sure Wishi would rest higher than those guys.
◆I felt great difficulty in selecting leading openers and their appropriate partners. So i had to choose an average partner with mammoth ones. In this belt i do say opening is always a tough job in the Test arena. So i devided two eras. Yes one is a helmet less era and second one is helmet era. With it uncovered piitches and unlimited bouncers and field settlement. Before 90 the batting remained a challenge peeticularly for the opening slot and if openers bundled out cheaply then down the order the top order must face trouble against the quality pacers. So before 90 opening batsman’s average criteria kept only 25. Only few openers have finished their career above 50. Big openers like M Hydon ,SM Gavaskar are among it who could maintain their class up despite long career.
