The Speedsters Are In Fear To Bowl Bouncers !!

Bouncers The Fear But For The Bowlers !!
[ Wearing the Helmet No Guarantee ]

After 1992 in the Test arena a bowler can bowl only 2 bouncer in an over while in the ODI one only. In the game cricket to face the fast bowler is always challenging and so tough. Bouncers are the torpedo or sling like weapon for the pace bowlers. And only due the fast bowling this game is considered as the risky or dangerous. The fast delivery can stuck the batsman anywhere. It can cause severe hurt or injury. Though the Supreme Body of cricket has limited the bouncers since 1992 by the law but under the law the bowlers can bowl one or two bouncers in an over according to the format’s rule. Though in the neo eon there are well equipments for protecting the body. And despite worn the helmet there are many incidents of strucking particularly on the skull or head that has proven fatal and the batsmen have been hospitalized for remedy . The biggest tragedy happened in this regard that the promising youngster of Australia Phil Hugues got a
severe on his had of a vicious bouncer of Shane Abot and at once fallen on the ground and gone into coma though hospitalized but not recover despite high-tech remedial facilities and devices he couldn’t be survived by the doctors . That tragedy put the cricket fraternity in the deep sorrow and the series that played just after against India as the host batsman Virat Kohli amassed huge runs and slammed centuries because no Aussie bowler used Bouncer in any a match . Though they won but couldn’t show the rage ,wrath and passion to bowl out the batsmen by using their most effective weapon Bouncers . There are many incidents of nasty blows . Yes L Pasco’s fatal bouncer hit Sandeep Patil ,Peter Lover’s nasty blow injured E Chatfield , Alen David hit bitterly on head by M Marshall , Anshuman Gayakavad of India hit terribly by M Holding , Mohinder Amarnath hit dangerously by Holding and Imran. V Sehwag was hit by Brett Lee twice on the consecutive delivery and also by G McGrath , Jofra Archer gave a fatal blow to Steve Smith ,Sachin the great hit at the age 17 on the bowling of Waqar Yunus ,Brian Lara the great hit awesomely by fastest bowler ever Shoyab Akhtar and fell down on the pitch and there are many examples in this regards. But death case is lonely in the history that in year 1918 Philip Hugues was hit in the domestic match .
Yeah despite worn quality helmet Philip Hughes got serious blow and passed away. Yes that incidents almost feared all the bowlers and they didn’t bowl bouncers in any case whether the batsman was hitting him severely . Yes in the present period there are the big speedsters in the world cricket . Dale Styne is at the twilight of his great career . Morney Morkel has also retired . And Michel Starc ,P Cummins, J Hazelwood ,J Petinson from Australia ,from india J Bumrah, M Shami, I Sharma ,Umesh Yadav ,from England C Broad ,J Anderson,Wood, J Archer. But only J Archer did create the terror among the batsmen by falling S Smith the biggest batsman of the present generation . If the bowler bowl with accurate stingy target no batsman can hook . The hook shot is the most risky stroke but also elegant to watch if hook perfectly. But the batsman can’t hook each bouncer . Yes the ball is in its well approach then he has to make roam and need to come in the perfect line and position and wrap up the bowl to be middle the bat toe or strike surface then the shot is beautiful to watch and the shot can earn 6 or 4 run . But we see that batsmen often try to hook without perfection on the stroke and if try to duck but not timely or perfectly cause deadly blow. B Lara tries to duck but couldn’t lean as per the require degree and so got a severe blow in the Shoyab Akhtar ‘s delivery. Yes once sees to be fainted but god grace handle and stood up otherwise his career could be ruined though since then his hearing capacity affected and slight deafening problem he had.
So wearing helmet isn’t the 100 percent guarantee to survive . Yes to survive the batsman needs to be perfect in the technique. There is no batsman in the world who wouldn’t have hurt on the bouncer or short pitch delivery . Even the real legendary greatest ever batsman Donald Bradman got a blow by F Gilbert the indigenous Aussie and considerably the fasted ever from Australia in a domestic 1st class (Shaffield Shield ) match. Yeah Viv Richards the real boss if batting arena . And amazing only once great SM Gavaskar against the West Indies Tempest M Marshall ,though remained absolute unaffected and bravado takes stance on the next ball and hit that for four . Yes Sachin but ar the immature age . So delivering bouncer a fear for the bowler. Yes through the bouncer the bowler wants to reduce his confidence and concentration and his aim is to terrify in this and that way and compelling the batsman to offer his wicket . No bowler wants to give blow to the batsman . But when the batsman gets flamboyant and swashbuckling and hit the bowser’s deliveries mercilessly then the bowler get uneasy and fury yes to bowl vicious bouncers .And then the batsman gets blow no opposition come to sympathise and bowler too not melt . So what is right . It’s dilemma .
Yeah as the bowler -spin or fast you bowl your most effective delivery like Doosara, Armer ,Flipper, Googly , Bouncer , Yorker ,Short Pitch , Over Pitch ,Full Toss ,In Swing ,Out Swing to the batsman 1 to 11 down to make him out. Suppose there is Jeff Thompson as the batsman and BS Bedi bowls him flighted one ,two and Thompson hit that for fours then B S Bedi calls fielders bit close and uses the most effective delivery of his quiver the Armer and J Thompson gets clean bowled . Yes in revert when BS Bedi bats J Thompson bowls him good length with moderate pace because Bedi is not a specialist batsman. But Bedi sends those two delivery for fours. There he did not get grace and hit brutally for fours. Thompson laughs and again bowl simply then Bedi sends the ball for a Six then J Thompson gets fury and got helpless to bowl fast and stingy. Thompson bowls with tearing fast but perfect Yorker that hit at the toe of Bedi and fell down on the crease . His toe got blow , But survives and gets ready to face the next delivery. Yeah it was bouncer and Badi dares to hit contacts and taje edge and resulted four. Now J Thompson like bowler has conceded 12 runs in the 4 balls and it was an insult for him now he bowls with lightening speed as the bouncer and that hit Bedi severely and at once hospitalized. What wrong . Yeah when the batsman not get merciful against the bowler then why the bowler gets graceful to bowl his fiery most delivery. But due to courtesy many speedsters get gracious and bowl moderately to the tail enders . But the tail enders get benefits to have it and hit fours and sixes and tease out, humiliate out the fast bowlers.
So the question to bowl bouncer to the batsman is liable or not. No bowler wants to injure any batsman. Yes each bowler’s aim is to get wicket of the batsman. And if the batsman gets hurt on any delivery then that is his fault. He as the batsman not handle the ball. And when the batsman hit any a ball for score it means the bowler couldn’t tackle or trap or control the batsman. Yeah it is just like the wild rule where sometimes Leopard prey mighty Crocodile and sometime Crocodile makes prey of Leopard . Yes it is like that the tiger has to prey deer by chase . So here the wearing the helmet and you as the batsman safe physically isn’t guarantee. So as the batsman you need be so vigilant , so fragile , so wise ,so bold ,so reckless ,so spirited and above it technically so sound. Yeah despite technically soundest SM Gavaskar once got severe hit on M Marshall because the he miss read the delivery . Yes he ducks but the ball get bit low and struck at the forehead. Though nothing damaged because if Sunny ‘ s walnut forehead . So it was the fault of the pitch and Gavaskar like so vigil batsman traps.
If we talk about the severe blows on bouncers then India’s gutty and gritty batsman Mohinder Amarnath rest foremost who endeavoured most blows on the bouncers but always came out courageously.Due to severe blows many batsmen’s cricket career ended likes of Nari Contractor of india who who got a fatal blow on the lathal fast stingy bouncer and since then couldn’t play cricket. Yeah making duck and hooking the ball are equalled risky. If you miss it then injury is inevitable.
Anil Kumble of india who was the tailender batsmen got a severe blow in the West Indies . He could have capability to score so it was liable for the bowler to bowl bouncer yes to restrict. Sachin Tendulkar tasted a bitter blow on the rising delivery of Waqar Yunus then later in the ODI he was strucked on the helmet by Wasim Akram but Sachin the great then matured remained unreacted , unaffected and hit a splendid six on the very next ball of Wasim Akaran that was same nature of the previous delivery . But the war ended because the bowler could not bowl more than one or two delivery as the bouncer . If talk about the most dangerous bouncers’ delivering speedster is Colin Croft on him 6 batsmen got injury . So conclusion is that despite having available all the defensive gears and particularly the helmet the bowlers often in the fear zone to deliver the stingy bouncers because in case if fatal hit the life cost be suffered and the bowler couldn’t excuse himself . Yeah the speedsters often bowl bouncer to each other in the exchange. Kapil, Imran,Bothom, Hadlee, Lillee, Thompson,Pasco,
Holding,Roberts have done it . But in this concerned most emphatic and memorable example is of eras two greatest speedsters Ray Lindwal of Australia and Frank Tyson from England . Yeah once in a Test Match R Lindwal cost a blow to F Tyson by a bouncer and Tyson had to go hospital but he returned and crushed Aussies by his terrific speedy bowling and exchange. The wounded lion is more dangerous the proverb got true. And ultimately I do say there are the speedsters but there ability to bowl bouncer isn’t effective. And we have seen that during 1991 to 2020 the batsmen ‘s batting average has risen comparatively than before 1991. And more triple centurions are in the picture.
