Yes there are four Test nations from Asia continent-India,Pakistan, Shri Lanka,Bangladesh and Afghanistan. And after all meditating I quite nation Bangladesh and Afghanistan because so far there isn’t cricketer or cricketers produced from these nations. But his partner the stalwart Vijay Merchant ‘s name could be stunned the present generation of today but the fact needs to know that Vijay Merchant was a genuine great opening batsman and himself the text book of batting skill and height.His batting average in the FC stands ever highest yeah the 2nd after greatest Sir Don Bradman. Yes he played only 11 Test matches but in this play his batting average is 48 plus and the average was one of the highest in the Openers’ concerned yes only Jack Hobbs ,Len Hutten and Herbert Sutcliffe had the higher batting
average than Mr Merchant.Yes due to world War 2nd and poor health he couldn’t play sufficient cricket when he was in his pick or heydays .But what he played ,showed his class and
cadre and accoladed by the contemporary cricket fraternity. And if he would play more Tests it was sure his performance was as paramount like FC . So overlooking I excluded Hanif Mohammed, Virendra Sehwag and Mazid Khan who are considered as the big openers but against consistent quality bowlers you need high patient, shot selection and genuine high-class technique and I think except Vijay Merchant the mentioned trio are far away then Vijay Merchant.
At the 1st Down or top order I prefer Zaheer Abbas despite comparatively lesser in the stats than Rahul Dravid the great. But there are 100 hundreds on his worthy name in the FC and his Test status is also good so like Vijay Merchant my favour parted Zaheer Abbas .
At the 2nd Down Sachin’s choice is undisputed. Then comes Kumar Sangkara at the 3rd Down yeah the real Bradmansque performer and the specialist middle order batsman and a solid specialist wicket keeper . And so obviously no name comes nearer to K Sangkara.

And then two spinners as Muthaia Muralidharan and Subhas Gupte . Both are quality spin bowlers.Yeah Muralidharan is fatal spinner who has same fear in the mind of the rival batters like genuine speedster and having great
variations so dangerous bowler and Subhash Gupte genuine spin wizard who had great skill to dismiss any batsman by his intelligent and sharp cutters .
