Mark Couldn’t Butcher ODI bowlers’ Balls !
Mark Couldn’t Mark In ODIs
{ On England’s Batsman Mark Butcher Who Played 71 Test But Alas During His Long Ran Career Of 8 Years Couldn’t Be The Part Of His National Squad }
Yeah there are Buchers and Bouchers in the game of Cricket. Yeah Ali Batcher,Basil Butcher ,Mark Butcher ,Mark Boucher who earned name and fame in the cricket field. Yes Ali Batcher from South Africa who played as the player and also captained team South Africa . Other Butcher is Basil Butcher from England was a good all-rounder . One Boucher from also from South Africa who was a good wicketkeeper batsman and one more name as the Butcher Mark Butcher of England who played as the top batsman. Yes the focused figure here of my writing is England’s batter Mark Butcher . Yes according to language English butcher represents cruelty because by profession he used to kill goats ,cocks,sheep,fish, cows,oxen. buffaloes ,camels,
pigs for getting meat . And one who does the job hanging the criminal is also called butcher. And here Mark ‘s second name is spelt butcher . Yeah what thinking would be remained behind this baptism I don’t know . Yeah here I have attended Mark Butcher for certain sensitive cause as the cricketer. Yes after good performance un the FC level in England County Mark was selected for the national team to represent at the international level and Mark Butcher played 71 Test Matches in his 8 years’ Test career . Mark Butcher made debut in 1997 and say adieu in 2004. And the player who started his FC career in 1992 and say goodbye in 2008 and during that duration played 71 Test Matches and 321 FC matches and also T20 County internal Tourney but alas never selected for the ODIs for his nation’s team. And we know since 1970 the instant cricket format ODI came in the force and since that Mark Butcher is the lone cricketer who remained inevitable part of the Test team not 5 or 10 Test but grand 71 Test but never been a part of his nation’s ODI squad. It is indeed an amazing fact and the lone most example of this concerned . During that period almost 200 ODIs been played by the team England but Mark Butcher didn’t prefer or call for the One Days Ties is thinkable . Yes might be he would a slow batsman or Test specialist who takes time to score runs but player like Mike Braiyarkey and Geffery Boycott snail like cricketers have played from Englaind side . Sunil Gavaskar like player who played the slowest ODI innings 36 n.o. by facing 170 plus deliveries against England too cast himself in the ODI temper and played one of the fastest World Cup ODI innings of 103 n.o. and there are some more players of this cadre who remained Test specialist but played ODI for their nation . But amazing Mark Butcher who played 71 Test but the selectors of his nation didn’t select him for the IDI. So it is and would be the record of its kind. India’s Cheteshwar Pujara is also a Test specialist and very slow like tortoise but he has too played ODI for the nation .
Mark Butcher had played 13 T20 matches under inter his Surrey County and in 13 T20 matches Mark Butcher made 2 half centuries and 60 run remained his highest individual score. And in 13 T20 matches 2 half centuries reveal that Mark Butcher was well capable to play some ODIs. In T20 score 30 is counted richer yes like hundred so in statistics counts how many 30s the batsman scored so Mark Butcher’s 2 T20 like 2 hundred and he should be selected for the ODIs but alas he was unlucky in this sense . Yeah cricket is the game of uncertainties that Karun Nayar makes a Triple Hundred only his 4th Test. Yes Don Bradman missed triple only by a one run and remained not out on 299 run.
Sorry for mr M Butcher who couldn’t butcher the bowlers deliveries in the ODIs. It’s all destiny but it’s great that he remained the inevitable player of the heavyweight format and the real testing form the Test Match.

Yeah to see these statistics yes Mark Butcher doesn’t appear as the big batsman but can say his stats are not bad and can say satisfactory. We have seen that after 1990 the birth country of cricket has seen a bad phase and not produced great bowlers ,batsmen, wicketkeepers and all-rounder and also great captain like Mike Brairaley and Daglus Jardin. Yes Nasir Hussain , Michael Atherton , Andrew Straus , Robin Smith like batsmen produced but to have statistics or particularly the batting average not remained greater or emphatic. After 1990 only 2 batsmen Kevin Peterson and Alaster Cook registered their great presence as the solid batsman. Yes partly G Thorpe ,M Trescothick, I Bell , A Strewert Collingwood, M Waughen,Matt Prior showed the class but not consistent in the performance and couldn’t be stamped the feared and highly reputed and win giver batsmen. Yes only one batsman has left great mark as a big batsman after 2010 and that is Joe Root who worried the rival bowlers ,captains and the teams .
