Yes these are thev two bestest Elevens from India’s Test Cricket arena in my observance .
In it I have preferred the figures higher rather than the class.I have put the class aside because the statistics speak themselves while the class seems itself . The class can be seemed live and alas for the aces or stalwarts we can read it only in the history books or through the available video clips but today ( 2010 to 2021) the quality of videos is good and the olden photographs and video clips do not reveal all perfectly and only in the history books we can read about their real heights. And it the legends can be read in the text but there might be exaggeration in it but we can’t reject those legends and the figures don’t need the live scenario because the figures reveal all blatantly though we are not well aware with the facts. Yes Virat Kohli’s so called a great Test innings of 153 there in England against England but I witnessed that innings in which Virat got 3 clear drop chances that is pointed by opposition bowler Jimmi Anderson . But the generation isn’t known with this bitter fact .Yes we talk about the figures and see the figures of Ravindra Jadeja who has two triple on his name in the indian domestic 1st class level and Vinod Kamble has two double century on his 17 Tests’ journey or short career and have plus 60 batting average the highest from india if we talk 15 plus Test Matches. Deepak Shodhan has higher average than Vinod Kamble but he played only 2 Test. So the statistics rest him great but the real story is different. Karun Nayar has one triple on his name is chided the biggies .I have not given place to M Azharuddin despite 45 plus batting average and 23 hundreds on his defame name because of his match fixing black blot, though the figures are in his favour but due to black stain all is zero and in jeopardy in my sense. Yes the fact was pointed by India’s opening batsman G Gambhir when Azharuddin was invited by the BCA and BCCI in the 1st Pink Ball Day -Night Test of India in Kolkata and was condemned the presence. To have this kind of ill figure what would the generation adopt and learn.Yes particularly the tally of 23 Test hundreds isn’t a trifling matter but due to cheating the nation and defamed the image of the nation and the offense is like the sedition in my sense so sorryfully I overlooked Azhar. And those who prefer him in my sense not the patriot . The nation is above all. Though his all figures are
.In the jeopardy because of his involvement in the match fixing scam. Due to be converted into a politician his blame was favoured and court freed him due to lack evidences and verdicted HHC him guiltless . Due to blemish indian judiciary system. and the BCCI and ICC didn’t stripped all his data from the cricket history book despite confessed of M Azharuddin all publicly. And his rival cricketer Hansi Cronzie too accepted and embraced suicide in the repentance. And might be his half statistics were doubtful because his inconsistency would be overlooked by the Selection Committee the then due to be the captain and indirect factors. And might be selectors and system would be involved in the game if genuine scrutiny or investigation is made and if Azharuddin would be passed through the Narco Test for the truth would be exposed. But the indian system suppressed it in its way. Here the fire was extinguished by fire. But okay at the beginning I had great respect to him when he slammed 3 Test hundreds in the row and I have included him because he had shown his mettle at the beginning in his debut series and due to his three consecutive century was called Wonder Boy by the media.
Yes I distract the topic and attain the major theme .
*In the first Super Eleven only Gavaskar has 50 plus batting average. Vijay Merchant ,Hazare , C Pujara plus 45 and Mohinder Amarnath and P Umrigar has plus 42.
*In The 2nd Eleven Virender , Laxman have plus 45
Sachin, Dravid, Kohli 50 plus ,D Vengserkar has Plus 42 batting average.
*Thus both the Elevens have 6 specialist batsmen and Sachin Eleven’s scale is heavier than Gavaskar Eleven in the average concerned. But it is just due to the figures not the class. In the class Sunny Eleven’s V Square (Vijay Hazare -Merchant) and Sunny are greaterly higher. M Amarnath ,
Cheteshwar Pujara and Polly Umriger have the graceness in their batting style.

In the Sachin’s Eleven Sehwag a flamboyant and marauder of the ball and have an emphatic statistics on his name, but unpredicted and inconsistent, with him VVS Laxman an elegant and a flawless stylish batter. And the amplest figure with paramount grandeur Sachin and Dravid – the peers from the Eden and Deelip Vengeserkar a dynamic splendid maestro whom great bowler like M Marshall and M Holding showered a high praise and let the most difficult or damn batsman to bowl.
In statistics Sachin Eleven is greater but Sunny’s Eleven is quite matchable in real mirror.
Yes in bowling area Sunny 11 has Two genuine pacers as M Nisaar and Amarsingh Joda , one medium fast swing and accuracy master Kapil Dev and amazing good rhythmic bowling masters yes the spin wizard as S Gupte on whom the greatest ball of the Test history is accredited and arguably reject the name of Shane Warne’s delivery as the best ball of the Test History .One another spin juggler who can trap in his magic yes that is Vinu Mankad.

Sachin 11 has one genuine paceman who is known for his stingy Yorkers J Bumrah who is
Genuine speedster and wicket taker in his each spell though his Test career journey is shorten till now because he has played only 18 Test . J Shreenath one of the fastest of his time from India and who took 236 wicket as the fast bowler. Another bowler the medium pacer Zahir Khan though plus 32 average not good as the bowler but not have the option except him . As the spinners R Ashwin and R Jadeja have phenomenal bowling average and wicket taker bowlers in the regular intervals . And both have ability to bat well.

*Openers
1.Vijay Merchant vs Virender Sehwag —
No match in the one glance in my observance . And overall to have the scrutiny V Sehwag is not near to V Merchant in the tough Test combat concerned . Why……???
Yes the present generation wouldn’t agree to have it because they haven’t seen great Vijay Merchant and I too haven’t seen him playing . But yes I have read anecdotes about his great batting height and class and due to hostile circumstances could play only 10 Test in which his average is almost 48. And the world cricket knows how tough to bat in that era. And in England or overseas it is tough to bat. Yes players like Gavaskar, Kohli ,Sachin ,.
Dravid have struggled there in England but V Merchant’s figures are splendid there in England . Yes in the 1st class ties there against county cricket he averaged over 75 .And his indian domestic first class cricket statistics are giant and still rest second highest in the World to greatest Donald Bradman. And if we talk about the class and cadre to have the Test mirror there is no match of Sehwag with Merchant. Yes the figures are higher of Sehwag and on paper he looks giant but by ravelling layers or postmortem Sehwag rests far behind to Vijay Merchant. Why …Yes because of inconsistency , unpredictable, wrong shot selection ,don’t play according to the merit of the delivery , uncertainty and a gamble on the name of sending as an opener . According to real mirror Sehwag needs his particular day otherwise he is an ordinary batsman . Technically he is erratic and not a complete batsman against class and tough bowling attack according to the critics and experts and on rough and tough wicket his ability to bat might be in the question . And what is the role of the real opening batsman. Yes to stay confidently and to lessen the shine of the new ball .Yes against the quality bowling attack it was difficult to stay confidentally and occur out the runs isn’t easy. This fact can be understood only by the real lovers or worshippers of the Heavyweight format the Test Cricket. By standing with quite defense the nature of the wicket or surface gets exposure and next coming batsmen in case of early debacle could resist well. Yes by staying on the wicket the nature of the wicket gets reckoning that yes it is playable . And to get runs without risk and set the innings by atleast 100 run partnership or faced 30 overs without losing the wicket with his known striker partner is good. And for a good batsman there would be
chanceless innings ever because under close evaluation it is observed ever. And it is observed that against quality bowling attack his data are not impressive. And due to his attacking and technically not sounded there is fear on each delivery to be lost the wicket. It is amazing that he has 8000 plus Test runs on his name with 23 Test hundred. If he would be played before 90 it is sure his figures wouldn’t be as high as he has.In it there are two Triple and one near Triple 293 and apart from it 3 more double hundreds. In his era there are some great bowlers like MecGrath, J Gillespie ,Brett Lee, Shane Warne from Australia; Shan Bond ,Chris Martin from New Zealand ; From Pakistan Shoyab Akhtar ,Mohd Sami, Saqlen Mustaq; Muthaiya Muralidharan,L Malinga from Shree Lanka, From the West Indies a quite ordinary bowling attack; from S Africa Dale Steyn, M Morkel , M Ntini,V Philander . But there are only 5 high class and ranked bowlers in it. Yes only G McGrath the big speedsters and the performance of Sehwag remained meagre against MecGeath . Murlidharan and Warne are spinner and for any indian batter even domestic level batsman the spinners of any kind or level always remained average. The spinners are fobia or impressive only for the out side subcontinental batsnen. And D Steyn is high ranked pacer according to the ICC norms but against him Sehwag slammed Triple and in that match D Steyn bowled 90 plus overs and couldn’t make out Sehwag or couldn’t create even a chance to make him out ,not beaten (might be it was due to sheer humidity of India that is not suited the fast bowlers and great bowler like Dillee did not tour India in his long career because of it.Yes Sehwag slammed Triple against Shoyab,Sami and Saquelen but they created chances to make Sehwag out but it was the mistake of the fielders and the luck was with him so got 300 plus runs . Such as M Morkel a big paceman but remained helpless in that match. Makhaya Ntini is an ordinary bowler in my view such as M Sami. And Sehwag’s most of hundreds came against the poor bowling attack and on passive wicket. Though his performance is a matter no doubt but here I am talking about the real class and cadre . The Test is not a match of strike rate. Yes India’s first flamboyant Mustaq Ali often threw or gifted his precious wicket to have hitting nature otherwise he was a class batsman and his figures would be higher. And if Sehwag would face such a quality bowlers in a Testing wicket the captain and the fans would distress surely . Yeah it is a critics’ view of mine and I don’t underestimate Sehwag’s performance but it is sure he was destined for some feats. In 2K ,2K1 ,2K11 triple centuries came like gulley cricket that the technically erred batsmen like Santan Jaisurya,C Gayle slammed Triple in the Test arena,amazing but true. How can a chancefull attacking batsman reach 300 plus mark in the unrestricted and opened Test arena.
So to see the real Test nature and the National Bestest Eleven where you have to pass on pyre so Vijay Merchant leads here over Sehwag with big margin.
Gavaskar vs VVS Laxman —
VVS Laxman entered in the Test as an opener because there was not slot for any other down or batting order. And Laxman registered his importance at the middle order batsman. Yes at number 3 . He played 281 runs’ big innings against quality Australian bowling attack in which McGrath,Gillespie , Kosprowitch, Shane Warne were consisted and this innings is considered one of the greatest Test innings of the cricket history. And that is ranked under top 5. VVS Laxman is capable to play at any place and there was no place except opening so the responsibility is given to open the innings with Sehwag. He has started india’s innings couple of the times. India have produced many good opening batsmen but there is no big names in this list. Yes Mustaq Ali, P Roy,N Contractor, D Sirdesai, LM Jaysimha,Vinu Manakad, Chetan Chouhan, A Gayakwad, R Shastri , Sadgopan Ramesh ,Shiv Sunder Das, Akash Choupra, Navjot Siddhu, G Gambhir, M Vijay , Salim Jafer have played as the opener but there is no opener whose batting average is over 45. Yes only Navjot and Gambhir have plus 42 batting average as the opener. Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agrawal ‘s statistics are good and plus 45 batting average but the real picture would come when they do play 50 plus Test as the genuine opener. So VVS Laxman whose overall batting average is over 45 and he has 23 hundreds on his worthy name and he has begun India’s innings as an opener so he has been selected by me for the top Eleven as an opener.
Yes his counterpart is Sunil Gavaskar and there is no match with these two figures because one is the sun and other is a diana or moon.
V Hazare vs R Dravid–
One is the olden golden era’s great other is the modern great . And if see the figures of the Test Matches R Dravid is ahead to V Hazare. Yes in the runs ,centuries and average but the thing is to mind that V Hazare played only 30 Test in the typical era while Dravid played
164 in the easeful era . If compare these statistics then Rahul rests bit ahead . Let see if Hazare would play 164 Test his score would be 11000.
And retreats by 2000 run but in the centuries Hazare leads by one or two but in half hundred hazare 49 while Dravid 63 so Dravid leads here but century is a big matter in the Test so Hazare leads here. Highest score 163 not out and Dravid 270 out so Vijay isn’t legging because there would be possibility to make 200 plus or 300 plus because of unbeaten .
But to measure both the stalwarts’ greatness we need to peep out the domestic figures in which V Hazare beats R Dravid with good margin and as the gist V Hazare is ahead then R Dravid .
Sachin vs Amarnath —
In the 1st glance there is no comparison between these two aces or veterans or peers but both played a pivotal role as the batsman. Statistically Sachin seems monster while M Amarnath a dwarf. But if we talk about grounded class then M Amarnath rests equal to Sachin . M Amarnath is known as a brave heart and the man of mettle . Against genuine quicks like Roberts ,Garner , M
Holding ,Craft ,
Marshall,Imran ,
Sarfaraz his figures are emphatic and impressive.Against quicks he was a big master.One of the fastest bowlers Imran,M Marshell and Holding have showered the praise on Amarnath’s batting bravery , recklessness, skill and class. Against all the toughest rivals Pak, Australia and West Indies his statistics are handsome . He slammed 11 Test hundreds all against fast quality bowling attack of Australia,West Indies and Pakistan .
M Amarnath remained suffered to have in and out in the National team . The selectors played with him and rejected but he made great came back all the time by showing big performance in the 1st class. But he had to pay a lot to be the son of controversial dad who was straight forward and remained one of the rebellions . Due to distress and harassment Mohinder called the Selectors the bunch of jokers. Competitively he has been given less chances than other and the board and the selectors remained partial to him throughout his career but what the game did he play he impressed the cricket world . Mohinder was so bold and skilled against the fiery bowlers. If talk about fast bowling played batsmen he rests equal or bit ahead then SM Gavaskar. But many of the critics would not agree that Mohinder rests equal to so called god of cricket because Sachin’s class and figures are phenomenal and the world salutes this gentleman. He reigned single-handedly in the world cricket for 20 years as the batsman and acquired that which is envious and can be said the legendary figure. Mohinder made debut as the bowler but later cast himself in a specialist top order batsman.

Kohli vs Pujara-
Yes both are contemporary to each other and genuine batsman. If see the present figures V Kohli rests much higher than Pujara. Pujara too had plus 55 batting average but the couple of the earlier bad series reduced his batting average. Mr Pujara is a reliable genuine Test player and can play long with class. He can be said rock. Virat is a big batsman but he had to accept less challenge than Pujara because he is a middle order used to come at number 2 while C Pujara comes at number 1 down order. But it’s the matter but not because V Kohli has power to play at any number or down.And statically Virar is ample but in my sense and opinion both the batting maestros rest equalled . Though V Kohli is compared to Viv the greatest .
P Umrigar vs D Vengeserkar
Both the batting maestros’ statistics are neck to neck yes in both the Test and the 1st Class. There is a slight margin between both the Masters and P Umrigar leads a bit to have batting average . If calculate the centuries tally P Umrigar rests higher . In domestic 1st class D Vengie or colonel rests slight up. It is amazing that being Top order 1st down batsman Dilip couldn’t reach double hundred and his top score remained 166 only . Umrigar was the 1st batsman to hit double ton from India in the Test . But to have compared the class both are equalled in my frame .
Now the comparison of the bowling strength —
Kapil ,Amar Singh ,Nisaar vs Zaheer , Bumrah , Shreenath
*M Nisaar vs J Bumrah–
Both are genuine speedsters and Nisaar is said the fastest ever from India . But Bumrah’s figures are higher and put ahead to Nisaar. Nisaar’s career remained very short but at the dawn he proved his class and got accolades of the cricket fraternity.
So evaluate both are equally great . J Bumrah has played 18 Test and his career is on while Nisar played only 7 Test at all. Average point of view J Bumrah is far ahead. But no doubt Nisaar ‘s class is above the statistics .
Amar Singh vs Kapil Dev though both are from the same Eleven but both ones compare is liable.
Both are the bowling allrounder though the height of Kapil is mammoth than Amar Singh but Amar Singh’s career was short and if he would play in long term like Kapil it might be he would rest equal to Kapil.
Kapil play 134 Test match and took 434 wicket and Amar Singh played only 7 Test and took 28 wickets ,it means 4 wicket each . And to have this count 134 × 4= 536 wickets so Amar singh rests higher then Kapil Dev. And in the 1st class Amar Singh’s bowling average is only 18 while Kapil’s 23 so here again Amar Singh rests greaterly higher. And if count batting 134 Test 5000 runs by Kapil Amar Singh 7 Test and 292 runs. It means 41.7 run in each Test . If aggregate in whole number or in the round figure then 42 run per Test so 134×42= 5628 runs. And Kapil”s Tally is 5238 run. So to have this count Amar singh gets lead. But in the Fifties regard Kapil is far ahead . Amarsingh 19 half Hundreds while Kapil 27. Kapil made 8 centuries Amar Singh has no hundred on his name and Kapil too had not made any a hundred in his primarily 7 Test. Amar Sungh slammed his 1st fifty in the very 1st Test of his career while Kapil made his 1st fifty in his 3rd Test of career.
Totally this comparison doesn’t evaluate Amar Singh less then Kapil Dev. Yes in the Test Amar Singh ‘s bowling average is 30.64 and Kapil’s 29.64 and if conclude both are quite equal in my attitude. In domestic format Amar Singh has 18 bowling average while Malik’s 22. And Gavaskar Eleven is very rich to have these two giants in the same side.

Zaheer vs Amar singh
And in both Kapil and Amar are ahead to Shreenath and Zaheer and there is no comparison between these cricketers. But yes the statistics are bit ahead if Amar Singh and Shreenath are scaled . Amar Singh’s bowling is 30.64 while Shreenath’s is 30.49 and he leads a bit from Amar Singh. But Zaheer is greaterly behind because he has 32.95 and Kapil 29.64.

Mankad vs R Ashwin
S Gupte vs R Jadeja
Mankad vs Ashwin-
Yeah the statistics point of view in bowling Veenu Mankad isn’t nearer and Ravichandran Ashwin stands so high. According to the ICC statical criteria 25 bowling average put you in the list of the greatest bowlers and under it Vinu is far behind because his bowling average is 32.32. And R Ahwin’s 24.95. And his wicket tally is over 400 . On compare to it Vinu played 44 Tests and preyed 162 batsmen took 8 five-fers and 2 ten-ter and his best bowling analysis is 8/52 while Ashvin played 77 Test took 401 Wickets ,took
29 times Fivefers and 7 times Tenters. His best B/A is 7 /59.
Yes in a straight glance R Ashwin is higher than V Mankad. Bowling point of view no match of these two spin wizards. But Vinu Mankad did acquire a big reputation as the All-rounder. Before Kapil Dev he was considered as the greatest all-rounder of India. Vinu is a batsman all-rounder and his batting record his higher to Kapil Dev 31.30 while Vinu 31.47 8 hundreds/27 half hundreds and 163 the top score in his long 134 Test career. Kapil was a bowling all-rounder and as the batsman he believed only in hitting and was framed as an Entertainer. He believes that by stopping or defensing 30 deliveries and loses the wicket under ten then it is better to hit the ball in our way and gain 15 runs in 5 balls with 2 sixes or one six one four. And throughout his career he played in that passion to have the same belief. Despite an attacker he made 8 hundreds and 27 half hundred and it’s not bad .Vinu slammed 5 hundreds and 6 half-hundreds. It means if he would play 134 Tests his centuries’ tally stands 16 and fifties total would
be 18 .
Kapil has delivered 27000 balls in 134 while Vinu 14000 only in 44 Test. If Vinu would play 134 Test then 42000 balls would be delivered by Vinu. But okay here Kapil was a pacer and as the pacer the bowler need greater stamina,effort to bowl while a spinner needs not hard physical diligence . Though both the bowlers are from the same eleven.
So I my synopsis is that Ravi Chandran is a greater spin
bowler than Vinu.
Now R Jadeja vs S Gupte-
Yes to have average Ravindra Jadeja is the best bowler of indian Test arena as the spinner and as the bowler only J Bumrah is ahead in the average but Bumrah is a genuine fast bowler.
J Bumrah played only18 Test so far ( up to date 15 April,2021) and has minimal bowling average of 21.87 by bowled 4039 deliveries and took 83 wickets. So J Bumrah is still to test in the long term . But in present J Bumrah is the best bowler in the World .
Yes compare to Subhash Gupte is the best bowler according to G Sobers and some other great and according to some critics he has delivered the ball of the century . Yes those contemporary greats and experts do not agree about the adjudgement of Shane Warne’s delivery as the ball of the century. The ball delivered to M Getting is considered as the ball of the Century.
Subhash Gupte’s career remained short due to disciplinary action that his co-room mate Kripal Singh who harassed a lady who was stayed beside their hotel room. Though mr Gupte was not guilty he didn’t let the information to the management. But his statistics are impressive. He was a big wicket taker on any surface. He could turn the ball even on the glass. So I put Subhash ahead of R Jadeja to prefer grace and class but arguably to have very effective statistics R Jadeja rests ahead to S Gupte. But in the class there is no match of R Jadeja with S Gupte.
*Now overall essence about both the Elevens*
SM Gavaskar Eleven and SR Tendulkar Eleven both have the supreme figures as the bowler and batsman. In these Elevens I haven’t preferred the Wicketkeeper because the WK is particularly known for his extraordinary batting. And to keep wicket is just a job. It is difficult to adjudge the wicket keeper to have his Wicket Keeping art and skill. Why because there are 4 good bowlers and they bowl with good accuracy and there is no byes,leg byes, no stumping ,no catching behind . Then how can we measure the greatness. Rod Marsh kept wicket well by taking maximum catches behind the wicket because he has two genuine speedsters who used to keep bowl on the wickets. And there were much chances used to occur and he caught all them smartly. But sorry he has minimum stumping on his worthy name because his team hadn’t big spinners. So I have put only the specified batsmen and bowlers. So there would be the neuter Wicket Keepers in both the Elevens . The WK wouldn’t bat. He would just keep the wicket .
But to see the real nature, class and height of the Test Match I favour Mr Sunny Eleven and if the encounter is held between these two Elevens then Sunny Eleven would win surely.
Yes yesterday I read imaginary match live in Wasim Akaram’s view that he is bowling David Warner and Chris Gayle and how has he stopped them and get out. But before read this on Google I have already put a fantasy Encounters with the best elevens before two years . Here I again put the fantasy encounter between these two great Elevens of India. Let enjoy the imaginary encounter–

Sachin wins the Toss and elected to bat first.
Sachin Eleven’s openers V Sehwag and VVS Laxman are on the wicket . Virender is ready to face giant fast bowler M Nisaar. Indeed he hasn’t faced such a giant bowler who has the sheer pace and accuracy. Though V Sehwag has faced three genuine fast bowlers in his era as Shoyab Akhtar, Brett Lee and Dale Steyn but they didn’t creat fear in the opposition like Imran,
W Haull, C Griffith , Marshall,Holding ,
Garner, Roberts, Craft, Bishop Wasim , MecGrath, Ambrose, Walsh , A Donald , Lillee, Thompson, R Hadlee , K Miller, H Larwood, Bill Vose,F Truman, F Tyson, A Davideson , etc. Yes Shoyab Akhtar is considered the fastest bowler of the world but he was less accurate and stingy . And to face him wasn’t a big challenge. His bowling average is 29.59 and he isn’t in the list of great ICC best bowler. He was not rhythmic. Brett Lee is bit expensive and only D Steyn is enlisted in the best bowlers annaxture of ICC to have bowling average under 25 or because of his thrifty bowling average. But against whom and his prosperous presence batsman like C Gayle, Sanat Jaysurya have made Triple ton and this bitter fact put his bowling in the question and bar. There in the innings you bowl 90 plus overs and you couldn’t deliver a wicket taking ball to those flamboyants who seem to be gifted or offered wicket in cheap. Being a great bowler you couldn’t terrorised . So despite big statistics I estimate D Steyn less great. The fact is to mind that against G MecGrath V Sehwag’s performance is timid.

Great Gavaskar and V Merchant’s solid duo is on the wicket. Captain Sachin introduced all his 5 bowlers and all ones remained wicketless. Both the batting maestros were so compact and scored runs in a decent text book style. There were no chance seemed to make out these two opening gentlemen. Both the maestros were very watchfull in playing the strokes and had solid defense. The Test was the Timeless so there is no tension of the time. Both the batting apostles known for long batting .The second ball taken ,the 3rd ball taken both the legendary figures completed 300 run mark .Sachin was as the captain seeming helpless. How can move these two peers. And both crossed quadruple mark . Then Sachin decides to bowl and he got succeeded when Gavaskar targeted him by hitting two sixes at mid wicket 2 marvellous state drives then lofted fiurs over the fielder but on the fifth delivery of Sachin Gavaskar again played a sky shot but this time he couldn’t beat the fielder and caught smartly by the tall man J Shreenath. Sunny made brilliant 434 run. But Vijay Merchant played steadily as his style and completed 500 run’s splendid mark.Then on a new ball of J Bumrah Vijay got bit lazy due to fatigheness and lost his wicket on dazzling 515.

But the destination is still very far. Both completed Triple but then the bang happened . There was a new ball. Gavaskar set very close field without caring run . Then as the batsman Sehwag played all freely. He tried to destroy the attack. He played shots without direction by swing the bat and lucky many times but ultimately was caught when he was on 65.

In the 2nd innings Dravid ,Sachin and Laxman played big innings and if Kohli , Vengeserkar Sehwag would play big innings then the scenario would be different but alas against quality bowler Sehwag yes two triplian could not play with that height .

Anchor : Sachin sorry that your team lost the match with very big margin What do you say ?
Sachin: Yes it’s a big defeat but you need to mind the fact that we were played against so formidable team and against our role models.
Anchor: What are the major reason you count for this sheer defeat ?
Sachin: Yeah in the 1st innings we couldn’t play according to merit. And in the 1st innings the bowling attack was tight greatly and in the 2nd innings we played to adopt Test ‘s true nature and succeeded but couldn’t fulfil the loss of the 1st innings.
Anchor- What extra reason do you count here of defeat ?
Sachin: Yes the major reason I felt that the impact of the ODIs ,T20 that thrashes the generation of our cricketers to get runs in each ball and under it we makes mistakes but the generation of Golden Era is known for patience and the text book style that makes them the Angel.
Interview :
Anchor : Mr Gavaskar congratulations for this great victory and what is the secret of this great victory ?
Gavaskar: Well we have trained in a school where you have to play only grounded shot. To lift the ball is an offense according to our Cricket Gurus. Their principle is if you lift the ball up to ground then the ball would be over the boundary not above the fielder . Because you can’t beat the fielder then there would be the catch possibility and you have seen that scene when for the 1st time after 400 plus played some un textual strokes and I gained quick runs ,the spectators got so much entertainment and excited me to play such kind of more shots and I played and got some sixes and fours but in short while gifted my wicket while I was in very much near to complete 500 .
Anchor – What do you say about your bowling side ?
Gavaskar: Yes our bowling is greater than rivals. We have great bowlers who have the figure with class and they proved it all diligently.
Anchor: Are you agree on the name of the Match there was not match and the match ended one sidedly ?
Gavaskar: No ,nay,it’s not fair to say . The opponent is equipped with great players but we play rather good than them . And to stick with the traditional custom it got possible.
