Yeah without thinking a moment i name Sunny Gavaskar…
Why..?
Because we are talking about the Heavyweight format of Cricket yes वन And Only Test Ceicket. And the Test match means To stay on the crease for a long time and for staying long time on the Crease you need great skills,great patience,great courage,great intelligent,great third sense,great anticipation,great technique,etc.
And to have these all elements only Sunny fits.Viv Richards’s batting style is just adverse because he is an explossive and attacking batsman and it’s the bitter truth that the batsman can’t play shots without lifting the risk.Viv played 124 Test matches and the tally of his hundreds is 24 …why..
Sunny played 125 and has 34 hundreds on his name. So it’s cleared the margin is very higher yeah 10 hundred.
This difference clears the temperament vs aggression.No doubt Viv has great potential and if could keep his patientce high then it was sure that the tally of his hundreds would greater or more.But the cricket fraternity considers Viv as greater batter than Sunny.
