●Yeah the left handed wizards played many great individual Test innings and by the critics the certain innings have discussed and put in the meritorious list. Yeah which Test innings are the greatest to have class, grace opponent, situation, land ,fans ,pressure ,bowling quality and fielding , strategic cadre and height of the captain. 1.Roy Fredricks 168 against Australia on the Perth against terrific bowling attack of the era yes as Dennis Lillee- Jeof Thompson duo and Muscular Man Max Walker yeah the all time great giants of the speedy arena. On that day Roy Fredricks played one of the most scintillating Test innings that cracked and torn out the bowling attack of the Aussies . And in my sense and critic this innings is ranked at the number one and the greatest . It was the pitch the fastest ,bouncy and lethal and haven of the speedsters where the batting as the opener wasn’t easy and was full of challenges . But Roy Fredricks showed recklessness and shattered the attack of Aussies . 2.BC Lara’s 153 vs Australia . Yeah there was big rival, big attack, hostile circumstances 3.G Soberse’ splendid 365 vs Pakistan yeah against quality bowling attack which was spearheaded under Fazal Mahmood the great seamer of Pakistan. 4.G Pollock’s 271 vs Australia .Yeah Don Bradman the greatest accoladed this innings and its class by saying he hasn’t seen such a great innings ever before it. 5.Graham Pollock 137 vs Australia . Yeah that was an epic innings that has been applauded by Wisden as one of the greatest innings . Innings was played against hostile condition and G Pollock showed his elegance and compactness . 6.C Lloyd’s 242 vs India when india had an impressive spin attack as the trio of BS Bedi,BS Chandrashekhar, Erapalli Prasanna and left handed medium pacer Karsen Ghavri and Ekanath Solkar. C Llyod shattered the indian bowling attack . 7.David Gower’s 154 n.o. vs West Indies in West Indies then there were four fearsome giant speedsters in the West Indies squad . Bat against that attack was very challenging but David Gower showed great class and courage against that electrified bowling attack. 8.A Cook’s 294 Vs India 9.Alvin Kalicharan’s 187 vs India yeah to bat on the indian sheer spin friendly wickets wasn’t easy at that time but against great trio of spin magicians of BS Bedi, Chandrashekhar, Venkat Raghawan and two impressive medium pacers as Kapil the great and Karsen Ghawari the left arm legend Alvin Kalicharan played a great knock . 10.C Gayle’s 317 vs S Africa yeah was good quality attack spearheaded by Shane Pollock ,Makhaya Ntini , Zedevik though the pitch was negative or the batting friendly . *The Tough rivalry between these three greats – There are many stands to have one name as the lone greatest Who is the loneliest great in Gary Soberse, Graham Pollock and Brian Lara ,the trio ? Some critics, veteran greats, sports journalists, statisticians, commentators ,fans and cricket fraternity of its kind yeah Gary Soberse has been stamped as the greatest left handed batsman of all time. But I considered him as the biggest all-rounder and so in the genuine batsman concerned G Pollock is the greatest according to my measure and evaluation. And G Soberse started his career as the bottom down batsman in real a bowler . But with the time he got promotion and proved his ability to bat well. After 18 Tests he made his test century that ended in triple then he remained unstoppable and got great reputation as the batsman At once he had held the highest run getter 8032 record on his rich name in 93 Tests with 26 Test centuries and 30 half centuries and the highest 365 not out individual Test score. Yeah if compare Graham Pollock’s statistics to Sir Garry Soberse than G Pollock isn’t stay far than G Soberse. Yeah in 23 Tests G Pollock slammed 7 centuries and 11 fifties . If he would play 93 Tests like G Soberse then G Pollock’s Test centuries ‘ tally might be rested almost equal to G Soberse. Yeah Brian Lara rests the third because average point of view he isn’t nearer to these greats. So ultimately I favour mr Graham Pollock because his average is higher than G Soberse the greatest but to honour equally I greatly and to blow any disputing air I rank both the legendary batting maestros at the first with the same percentage 75 yeah distinction marks exactly . *NK Sanatan
