Cricket is the game of great uncertainty. Being cricketer of my passion and fondness I have seen it in a club level match in which I was captaining and my team was in a driver seat and I was in a great relaxed situation but I got a Mobile Call and reaching by walking slowly North end (Pavilion ) to South end and during that 20 minutes amazingly we were lost the match. As an opener I had contributed well ( 46 ) and left the situation at the commanding position but alas we lost that match in just 20 minutes. We lost 8 wickets in that duration . For talking I stay a bit then walked then stay thus I took 20 minutes and when reached at the South End the rival team was celebrating . Knowing the bitter truth I agonised a lot because I was busy in phone conversation and couldn’t guide my mates but being the captain i digested the defeat and by showing the courtesy shook hands of the rival captain Chirag Bhai and congratulated him and his team mates for the amazing win . He too revealed surprised and said after getting your wicket we were came into the game and we traped out your wards in the craftiness and cage though your team was in a very much commanding and winning position. At that critical situation I we were thinking where is mr Captain NK sir.
Yeah here I am talking about the great uncertainty of the game.
India is at the tour of Australia the tough ever because india couldn’t make series victory there on the land of Kangaroos except one that the team india got in the year 2017 under Virar Kohli . Yeah india achieved the feat after 70 years. Before it there were two occasions in the lap of India that it could make series draw by 1-1 yes the first under Sunil Gavaskar in 1981 and under Sourabh Ganguly in the year 2005.
The first match of the series was started there at from Adelaide and the indian fans were so excited to watch because india was playing under defiant captaincy of great Virat Kohli and the flamboyant has the envious record as the batsman and the captain. But alas the team india tested a sour defeat ! India bundled out only on 36 run in the Test’s 2nd innings and the match gone over in 2 and the half day. Though it was a pink ball Day-Night Test match but the defeat is defeat and we as the fans accept.
Cricket is a game of wonders because the bowler get 5 wicket by spending only 5 runs. Sometimes the batsman hits out 6 sixes in an over. Sometimes the bowler gets 19 wickets out of 20. Sometimes the fielder gets stunning, unbelievable catch and sometimes drops an easy catch. Sometimes the fielder makes run out by throwing from the 90 metre boundary and sometimes couldn’t hit stum by a yard away distance. Sometimes the specialist batsman loses out his wicket on zero and the tail enders makes century. Thus cricket whether it be a Test, F50 or T20 uncertainty is its fortune. One sided Karun Nayar hits out triple only his 3rd Test and great Sachin couldn’t touch up to 200 Tests. See hitter and deficient batters like Virender Sehwag, C Gayle have two triple on their name in the Test . The tailender and so called pinch hitter spinner S Jaysurya too have triple on his credit. Sometimes the team amasses 800 runs in an innings of the Test and sometimes a team bundles out only on 25 runs. Sometimes the team is called for follow on and defeats out the rival.Sometimes the batsman drops out on zero and the then made double or triple century. Sometimes a leading bowler can’t make out the specified batsman and such batsman is got out by a changing or average bowler. After winning the toss indian captain elected to bat first and india made only 244 and the fans were not satisfied to have this score and the team management and the team. But indian bowlers restricted host Australia only on 191 and got lead of 53 runs. Thus india was ahead and 53 runs lead seemed huge. But there was hidden bit bitter in the fate of the indian team. In the 2nd innings india collapsed out only on 36. Yeah the forth lowest Test score in the cricket history. India gave target of 90 runs and hoping the same repeatation by the host but alas indian bowlers could not reach at this height and lost the match by 8 wickets.
In the match when Virat made 74 the heroic was buzzed a lot by the commentators and the experts . Yeah 50 plus made by Virat in the 146 innings. The third lowest innings taken by him. Above him Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid who took 127 and 136 innings respectively.
It is saying that Virat Kohli is greater than Sachin and Rahul. Someones are agreed to have it and someones refute the idea to have their logic. Yeah if talk about 50 plus yes statistically Sachin is dominating by played only 127 innings. And here Virat is retreating blatantly.
