“M Atherton’s nonsense on ‘bodyline’!”
*Ah! It’s a cowardice remark.*
(On Michael Atherton’s remark that given on ongoing Ashes Series in which his nation’s team has lost by o-3
And targeting Aussies speedsters trio for destroying . M Atherton the former England opening batsman and the captain revealed his groaning as—-The Umpires should invoke cricket’s law and protect England’s tailenders from Australia’s relentless ‘bodyline’ bowling in the ongoing Ashes Series . He appeals to umpires to protect England tail from ‘bodyline’)
Micheal Atherton played 115 test but despite such long career he isn’t considered as the greatest batsmen from England site. He remained opener and after retiring jobbing as the commentator. He remained an opening batsman and faced out some genuine fast bowlers but they were at their twilight career and not had such a severe stinginess for which they were illustrious ( notorious) in the history of game cricket. He could make 8000 runs by keeping a meagre average of 37 and could hit out 16 centuries and couldn’t make any a double century despite an opener and a long career. He has given his shriek about the objectionable speedy bowling of Australia’s genuine pacers Michel Starc , Pet Commins and Josh Hazelwood who have shown their fiery and aggressive class and devastating the England’ s specialist batsmen and also timid out the bowlers or tailenders . The former captain lamented out that the Umpires should be use their cricket law and protect the tailenders. Yes it’s not a fair comment . Which team will want that the opponent batsmen whether they would be the tailenders or specialist batsmen make run against them ? No team would like such a thing. In each bowler’s mind the batsman is batsman. Think if a bowler bowls a weak or average delivery, will the batsman be not hit that ball for the runs? No ,nay ,none batsman could play that delivery not for run.
So it’s not fair to say by M Atherton that the Umpires should disrupt or restrain the speedsters to bowl fast and up to the shoulder or ‘bodyline’ mark. It’s the bowler’s right. Here you say to the lion not to make prey ! Not to hurt or injure and kill ! Nor to grab the jaws or paws !
Here it’s all happened as per the cricketing law because two bouncers in an over is all lawful according to the neo ICC Test Match law so here nothing is unfair and unjustified. And Atherton’s remark in this regard is nonsense and futile. Being an opener he should not say such a thing that is harmful for the real form of cricket. Yes the bowlers do not face such a fiery and short pitches deliveries but if those bowlers are the speedster then they too target such kind of weapon for their opponent batsmen. They too wouldn’t sympathize or have pity. If the England site has such a fiery bowlers they too could use such device in worthy reply. They too have bowlers of big cadre like Anderson and Broad they too could bowl fast if use their potential. So Atherton’s article in which he has expressed his opinion is just a professional and for the print media to earn. In this way the issue is regardless. In the reaction fiery bowler of his great time slapped by saying that despite objection by mr Atherton he should say his batting coach that he must train his tailenders to bat well against the pacers.
Yes this kind of attitude would extinct real excitement of Test Cricket. Yeah if you have objection of such kind then read my article in this concern which I have written ten years before. In which I have revealed that the ICC has to implement three Test Match formats separately for different kind of fans . Yes that could be–
1. Heavyweight Test Cricket-in which there would be no bond or limitation to bowl bouncers and there would no be helmet. If it is applied the passion for Test Cricket would be tide up. Because people like blood n blood sheds so in UFC and Heavyweight boxing is in the trend.
2. Moderate Test Cricket in Which limitation of bouncers.
3. Lightweight Test Cricket in which no any kind of bouncers.
In this way the different kind of spectators could enjoy Cricket of their hobby and the fight would remain fight and entertainment will remain entertainment.
