The Rare But Not !

One Over 6 Sixes Rare But Not Rarest !
{ Kevin Pollard Of West Indies Inducted in The Rare of Rarest Herculaneum Giant Group }
Arduous …Arduous…. Arduous !!!!!!!
Yeah after almost a decade the Herculean task has done by Kevin Pollard in the International level encounter who hit out 6 sixes in an over against the bowling of A Dhananjai in T20 international versus Shri Lanka. Yeah at the international level the first feat was made by the Africa’s opening batsman Hershell Gibbs in the ODI World Cup tie ,2007 when he preyed Neatherland’s Daan Van Bunge. The second achievement was availed by India’s dashing hitter Yuvaraj Singh in the first T20 World Cup,2007 in Derban ,S Africa against England’s pacer Stuart Broad and the third accomplishment gotten by the giant of West Indian yeah known as Kevin Pollard . Yeah in these three feats one has come in the ODI and two have come in the T20-I . Yes ,the feat hasn’t been achieved so far in the Test . Yeah in this context India’s dashing All-rounder Kapil Dev is ahead who has hit out 4 consecutive sixes in an over versus England against spinner Eddie Hemmings at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. There are some examples to smash out 3 sixes in a row in an over in the Test matches and Kapil Dev is the first batsman who hit out 4 sixes in the row. The rarest feat was seen at the first time in the history of the game in the first class cricket there in the County Cricket , England where Gary Sobers of West Indies in 1968 destroyed M Nash by hitting 6 sixes in an over and stunned the cricket world by his nearly impossible job. Before it there was not a batsman who could have done this rarest feat. And after that many years in 1984 this feat has been repeated by India’s Ravi Shastri in the domestic level (Ranji Trophy – India’s highest and reputed domestic format ) against the bowling of spinner Tilakraaj of Baroda . Apart from it there is a lone example of hitting 5 sixes in a row in an ODI and that is Dimitri Mascarenhas of England who hit out 5 sixes in an over of left arm spinner Yuvraj Singh of India in an ODI.
If we glimpse out full history in this concerned then some more feats have done by some batsmen at franchise cricket ,domestic level,school level and some other kind of lower level cricket. Recently Arjun Tendulkar the boy of just 21 year the son of legendary cricket figure Sachin Tendulkar who hit out 5 sixes continuously in an over though not buzzed a lot in Media due to lower class match . But 6 sixes in an over is a Himalayan Task and that is always buzzed all over the world and if it is done in the International level then it attracts all the cricket fraternity and the World media endorse out this kind of rarest act and telecast- broadcast,
publishes it overnight in the abundant way. Yeah this kind of acts are achieved by some more batsmen though at the club or franchise level and who in this elite Eden are Alax Hale, England ( in 2015) from Nottinghamshire in the Newest T20 combat vs Warwickshire, Ross Whitely (2017) playing from Worcestershire Rapids vs Yorkshire Viking against the bowling Karl Carner in Headingley, England.
Leo Carter in 2017 the player from Canterbury Kings vs Northern Knights the T20 Super Smash Competition in New Zealand,
Hazratullah Zazai, the Afghan in the
Afganistan Premier League T20 tournament from
Kabul Zawanan who targeted rival bowler
Abdullah Mazari. So the list isn’t in the two digit. So far from 1877 this feat has done only by 8 batsmen. And at the International level the feat has destined to H Gibbs, Yuvraj Singh and earlier Kevin Pollard. In the Test match this feat is just awaited till the date 5 March ,2021. In the history of 143 years history of Test cricket the feat hasn’t achieved by any batsman despite biggies like Bradman,Viv Richards and some others greats of the Test arena.In the Test 4 sixes in the row in an over have been smashed only by three batsmen and they are Kapil Dev of India ,Shaid Afridi ( against Harbhajan Singh of India) of Pakistan and AB De villiers (against the Aussie medium pacer Andrie McDonald) of South Africa. And if talk about hitting three sixes the list isn’t long ,only 9 batsmen could have done this great act. This list is adorned and enriched with Wolley Hammond, ST Clarke, Hansie Cronie, N Astle, Brian Lara , MS Dhoni, J Kallis , SG Southee and Ben Stroke.
This unbelievable act had been done by Gary Soberse at the first time in the history of game in the year of 1968 in the 1st class platform and such feat was repeated by India’s Ravi Shastri after 16 years of big duration in 1st class . So the cricket fans and fraternity can understand how difficult the task is ! And this rare job has come at first at the authorized International level in 2007 when Hershel Gibbs exploited the Neatherlander spinner DV Bunge in the World Cup 2007 in the league encounter. The authentic ODI started in 1971 so the feat came after 37 years of span. And then very soon in a bit gap Yuvraj Singh of India repeated this act in the 1st T20 World Cup against speedster Stuart Broad. Most of the acts have done against the spinners ,yeah one against a medium pacer but by Yuvraj against the pace man is rest far ahead or on top in this concerned . To hit the fast bowler for six on all the six balls of the over at the International level is the toughest task. So Yuvraj ‘s feat is uppish and praisable a lot then the others’ feat.
And after that almost four feats have come though in the local level but the act of Kevin Pollard came in the international T20 game against Akira Dhananjay the spinner of Shree Lanka. In K Pollard’s episode the point to be worthy to attend that the Shree Lankanen bowler could dismissed three leading West Indian Top order batsmen in a row by a rare hattrick but later in the 6 th over of the match he shattered A Dhananjai. One more point must be minded that the first act came in 1968 it mean since the begun of the game and the record inscripted or written history it took 91 years then it came in 1984 after 16 years and after 23 years the feat happened one after one. But at the international level it happened 3 times in just 13 years . Behind it the solid hammer like bat , shortened boundaries and the hectic effect of T20 and T10. But whatever the reasons behind that after 2K-1 but it’s sure it is one of the toughest task in the game. It can be equal to make 500 runs individually in an innings.The T20 team’s captain K Pollard refreshed all the worthy memories by his exploitative an over hitting sixes feat. For this kind of feat first of all the batsman must be destined and he need the particular day for it to dominate at his will and gets success in all the blows of the over . Cricket is the game of class but rather luck too because god couldn’t make triple and V Sehwag , C Gayle met twice and S Jaysurya like batsman met once and more amazing that india ‘s Karun Nayer did it only hid 3 rd match and this kind of act chided greats . In this matter what class and cadre you have doesn’t mean . For it you are destined. See an unknown and unestablished batsman from England D Mascarenhas hit out Yuvraj for five sixes in an over consecutively. So some figures are to be destined for the feat.
